Gwen Stefani opened up about her marriage to her 'best friend' Blake Shelton and reuniting with No Doubt for Coachella as part of her cover story for Nylon magazine.
The ska punk legend, 54, graces the Spring/Summer 2024 cover of the publication with a close-up shot of her gorgeous complexion as she toys with her endless silver nails.
Her brown eyes are accentuated with a full dose of mascara while her lips shine with a glossy coat of peach tint.
During her wide-ranging interview with the magazine, Stefani opened up about the insecurities she faced at one point in her marriage to Blake, 47, and debunked rumors they were divorcing, calling the speculation 'lies.'
Their new duet track, Purple Irises, was written by Stefani and was originally intended to be a solo song before she agreed to have Shelton join her.

The song talks about how the seemingly perfect life isn't all that it's cracked up to be and aging.
Stefani said her relationship with Blake had been on her mind when she wrote the track.
The couple wed in 2021, five years after she divorced first husband Gavin Rossdale, whom she shares sons Kingston, 17, Zuma, 15, and Apollo, 10, with.
Stefani admitted she had been thinking of her insecurities in her relationship at the time of writing Purple Irises: 'I had been going through those times where you’re questioning: "Oh my gosh, am I just getting older? Am I cute?"'
'In my own relationship, even though I know the truth of what’s happening today, you still create drama in your own mind about your insecurities and what might happen. I was in that phase of the relationship with Blake and getting paranoid.'
Her husband said they both harbored the same fear: 'It’s an insecurity we both have,' he said.
'These are conversations that she and I have with each other: "Are you still going to love me when I’m old or if I forget who I am?"' he said.
During the pandemic, the couple began transplanting purple irises they found growing on Blake's ranch in Oklahoma - a task the country artist noticed his wife had a knack for.

'Gwen has an incredible sense for planting things: how to grow them and, once it’s growing, how to cultivate it, and when to prune something,' Blake recalled.
'I like to farm on a big scale, like corn or beans, acres at a time. She concentrates more on patches here and there and ends up farming things a little better than I do.'
Tending the flowers helped Gwen quiet her mind: 'The truth is I am in love with my best friend,' she explained. 'And all this sh*t I’m thinking of in my brain, that’s all it is — I’m overthinking.'
She also called rumors she was getting a divorce from Blake 'lies.'

'But when you’re in love and have truly aligned values, nobody can get to us. You can say whatever you want to say about our relationship — I mean, a week ago we were getting divorced again or something,' she said of the rumors.
'It’s just lies. The truth is the truth, and we know what that is. And so that [negativity] would never penetrate just by me being vulnerable and sharing a song that I didn’t write for anybody else but myself and Blake.'
The songstress has come a long way from her days in Southern California as she embraces farm life with her husband.
'Gwen has her own tractor now,' Blake said, 'and we’re working toward her one day soon being able to fire it up and go out to do her own thing on it.'

No Doubt fans will be thrilled to see Gwen and her band reunite on stage later this month at Coachella.
Gwen said performing at the festival with the group is 'going to be a really nice bow to tie on the relationship, because we were kids [when we met].'
'I already know what it’s going to feel like because we’re just so in sync when we’re onstage. It’s going to feel like riding a bike again. We’re going to be laughing, and we’re going to look at each other and go, "Oh my gosh — there you are."'

'Well, I don’t have a crystal ball,' she said. 'Most things have surprised me in life. One of the things I’ve learned is to be present in the moment and try to absorb what’s happening around me instead of looking ahead.'
