Barstool Sports founder Dave Portnoy has been reveling in his recent betting success and is ready for more with a heavy bet on The Masters.

Just days ago, Portnoy claimed a $2million windfall after the UConn Huskies beat Purdue to win back-to-back national championships in college basketball.

Now, Portnoy is turning his attention to the world of golf ahead of one of its biggest events each year, The Masters.

The Massachusetts native is putting $300,000 down on his pick to win the entire tournament: American Scottie Scheffler.

Scheffler has had success at this tournament in the past, having won it all back in 2022.

Scheffler is the odds-on favorite to win ahead of Rory McIlroy (+1000) and Jon Rahm (+1100)

Portnoy's big bet appears to have moved the entire market on Scheffler - with his odds to win climbing from +450 to +400.

Scheffler is the odds-on favorite to win the tournament, thanks in part to his two victories on the PGA earlier this year at the Arnold Palmer Invitational and The Players.

He's 600 points ahead of the next closest favorite, Rory McIlroy at odds of +1000.

Behind McIlroy is reigning champion Jon Rahm at +1100 odds, then Xander Schauffele at +1400 and Brooks Koepka at +1600.

If Scheffler wins his bet, Portnoy could bag $1.35m - which, when combined with the UConn win, would be $3.51m won this week.
