Footage shows an unidentified man stomping a puppy in a still-unsolved attack.
The disturbing deed was caught on camera outside a business in southeast Oklahoma City, after a different dog was found dead days earlier on the same stretch of road.
It remains unclear if this dog died, and authorities are looking for the man responsible. He is seen bombarding the animal with blows before midnight on March 27, though officials say it's what can't be seen in the clip that's even more disturbing.
Just before, animal welfare officials and local cops said the man carried the puppy down the street by its back legs, dragging its nose on the pavement.
Following the awful beating, the video also shows the man picking the puppy up and throwing it on the ground before he leaves. The city's animal welfare superintendent broke down the video for local news stations after it was shared Tuesday by OKCPD.

Cops are now searching for the man responsible, sharing footage of the March 27 incident on Tuesday. They are asking for citizens' help identifying the man. He is seen bombarding the dog with blows, though officials say it's what can't be seen in the clip that's even more disturbing
'Most people hear the stories about serial killers, start off killing animals, and it's a real thing,' said Jon Gary, Oklahoma City Animal Welfare Superintendent.
'[The man in the footage] punches it multiple times, kicks on him, stomps on him.
'We have not found the puppy at this point,' he said, speaking to KWTV-DT.
The official went on to reveal to News 4 that he and local cops became aware of the situation after it got a call last month from the owner of a business on the street - 3700 block of S. Missouri Ave.
The proprietor, Gary recalled, had found a different dog, this one dead.
Following a brief investigation, Gary and local cops discovered the animal had been hit by a vehicle, but in the process, the business owner also found video of the recorded beating involving the second dog.
Despite there being no body this time around, Gary said he fears the more recent dog - only a puppy - suffered the same fate.
'Obviously, our biggest fear right now is that he went somewhere, and he's deceased now,' he told KWTV-DT, visibly perturbed by the now-circulating footage.
Growing emotional, he added: 'You could tell by the video that, it's very, you know, it is, it's horrific what happened to this puppy.'

Officials this week said they believe the man lives close by, possibly living in a homeless camp or a neighboring home
They are asking anyone who might recognize him to come forward, now that the footage has been made public
'It's important that these individuals are identified because usually these things progress,' said Gary.
Cops are now searching for the man responsible, as both they and Gary ask citizens for their help in identifying the assailant.
Citing the somewhat grainy footage, the animal official told News 4: 'It is kind of hard to see, but we're hoping there's enough that our public can help us identify the gentleman,'
'It's obviously a small puppy that's involved,' he continued.
'He's punched multiple times by the gentleman as well as stomped on and kicked.'
'It's important that these individuals are identified because usually these things progress.'
In interviews with both outlets, the official revealed that his agency and the Oklahoma City Police Department have a few leads.
One involves the belief that the man lives close by either in a homeless camp or a neighboring home, though that has yet to be confirmed.
He told News 4: 'We did get a possible name of someone, but it's so vague and we're not quite sure so our investigators are still looking into that.'

Without an arrest, investigators fear the still-at-large suspect will continue to torture animals, and potentially one day people. Cops and animal officials' investigation, as of writing, remains ongoing
Meanwhile, after repeatedly stomping on the dog, the video shows the man abandoning the dog as it manages to crawl away.
'If you live in that area, if this gentleman looks familiar to you at all, please contact us,' Gary implored, adding that it's these types of attacks that lead to attacks on people, as well as more animals.
'Anyone that's willing to do this is a dangerous person,' he asserted
'It's important that we find this individual, it could help protect people in the future.'
Meanwhile, without an arrest, investigators fear the man will continue to torture animals, and are thus asking for the public's help to prevent any bloodshed.
Anyone with information has been urged to contact OKC Crime Stoppers. The investigation, as of this writing, remains ongoing.
