One person has been killed and five injured, including children, in a shooting in Washington, D.C., just minutes away from the White House.
At around 6:15 pm, the suspects drove up and fired into a crowd in the Carver Langston neighborhood on Wednesday evening, according to Police Chief Pamela Smith.
Investigators believe the suspects left the car and began shooting at people on the street.
They peeled away in a light blue Toyota sedan with no front tags, dark tints and black rims, police say. The vehicle is 'possibly occupied with two shooters inside.'

Police roped off the crime scene in the 1100 block of 21st Street NE.
The gunfire erupted roughly four miles away from the White House, where President Joe Biden and First Lady Jill Biden were hosting a state dinner for Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida and his wife.
