When OJ Simpson opened his Twitter account in June of 2019, he posted a video saying that he 'had a little gettin' even to do'. Since then, he continued to publish his thoughts and opinions until his death on Thursday at age 76.
They mostly centered on football, the sport where he made his fame and his living for a number of years.
But they also centered around politics, health, and legal advice. Simpson even offered advice to President Donald Trump and convicted killer Alex Murdaugh.
His final days involved him swatting rumors of him having a heart attack or being in hospice care - with his last tweet showing Simpson giving his Super Bowl prediction.
DailyMail.com takes a look back at Simpson's Twitter ramblings that gained him a large online following through the years.
Since his first post in 2019, OJ Simpson had grown a vocal presence on Twitter
Simpson first posted to Twitter on June 14, 2019 about two years after being released from prison for a robbery in Las Vegas.
He posted a video with the closing message of, 'This should be a lot of fun, I got a little gettin' even to do.'
Throughout his time on the app, Simpson loved to provide his thoughts and opinions on certain events happening throughout the world of football.
That included his thought's on last-year's Heisman race and even the controversy surrounding Florida State's exclusion from the College Football Playoff.
'It would've been hard to put [Georgia] in front of Alabama, who just beat them,' Simpson said about the latter topic in a tweet captioned 'I think they got it right!'.
'I'm sure the only reason Florida State didn't get in is because they lost their quarterback.'
Simpson weighed in on the Alex Murdaugh murder trial, saying he thought he did it
OJ also offered Donald Trump legal advice, telling him to not talk at all about the case
But Simpson, who was acquitted for murder but served time for theft, was often asked to weigh in on legal matters and give advice for those who faced similar crimes to what he was charged with.
That included Alex Murdaugh, who was found guilty of murder and sentenced to two consecutive life sentences.
'A whole lot of people are asking me what I think about this Alex Murdaugh trial. I don't know why they think I'm an expert on it,' Simpson said with a laugh.
He addressed Murdaugh's lies and his theft - while drawing parallels to his own imprisonment for stealing.
'When I caught guys stealing my stolen property, the state of California, after I was convicted, ruled it was my property, and they gave it to me. So I have it now.
'So how do you go to jail for catching guys who are trying to sell your stolen property? Well, nevertheless, I do think this guy [Murdaugh] more than likely did it.'
Simpson also gave legal advice to President Donald Trump, giving an insight as to what his lawyers told him during the Trial of the Century.
'The one thing [my lawyers] all told me and stressed to me: do not talk about the case publicly, do not do interviews about the case. [They] threatened to quit if i did that.
Simpson advocated for people to get vaccines at the height of Covid in 2021
In his final days, Simpson deflected rumors that he had a heart attack and was in hospice
Simpson's final post was a video predicting that the Niners would win Super Bowl LVIII
'The point is: I don't know if Donald's lawyers are stressing this to him. If they're not they should be fired and he should sue them.'
Later videos addressed rumors about his health - where Simpson denied both having a heart attack and being in hospice care.
Simpson also advocated for people to get vaccinated at the height of Covid, including one video captioned, 'Got my 2nd shot. Go get yours.'
The final video he posted was just before this year's Super Bowl, where the Bay Area native and former San Francisco running back said that the 49ers were his pick for the title.
