Demi Moore made the very rare move of posing with her aunt on the red carpet of the 25th Edition of An Unforgettable Evening on Wednesday.

The Ghost actress rarely poses with any members of her birth family as she is usually with her three daughters she had with ex Bruce Willis.

The 61-year-old beauty beamed with pride as she put her arm around the silver-haired woman who wore a sleeveless black dress.

The event was benefiting the Women's Cancer Research Fund and held at the Beverly Wilshire Hotel in Beverly Hills

Inside the event she said her cancer-survivor aunt has 'incredible courage' and a great 'attitude' adding Diana inspires her to stay strong whatever life throws her and her family's way.

Moore wrote about her aunt in her book Inside Out as she said she was a warm presence during her childhood.

Demi had a tumultuous relationship with her mother Virginia Guynes who died of a brain tumor in 1998.

'I am here tonight with my aunt who is a breast cancer survivor and she has been cancer-free for 18 years,' the Striptease actress said.

She added, 'I look at the incredible courage that she held and faced and also the attitude that she had as she faced this, and it was a fearless attitude with faith.'

Moore added that Diana has been 'a light' for her throughout her life. That 'light' has been especially important to her after losing her own mom.

Demi was one of this year's honorees.

The Feud: Capote vs. The Swans actress received the Courage Award for 'her unwavering support and dedication to raising awareness for breast cancer.' Speaking inside the event she honored her aunt, who is a breast cancer survivor.

'I feel very moved and quite touched,' Moore told ET.
