The legendary designer passed away Friday at age 83 following a long illness.
'It is with deep regret and a great sadness the Roberto Cavalli Maison participates in the passing of its founder Roberto Cavalli,' wrote the company in a statement.
'From humble beginnings in Florence, Mr. Cavalli succeeded in becoming a globally recognized name loved and respected by all.'

'He brought boldness and color to his fashion and I always felt beautiful wearing his art,' she penned on the runway photo.
Cavalli was known for his love of using fur and animal print in his designs.
'I love nature. Animals have the best dresses. God made them so well-dressed,' is how he explained his penchant.
People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals eventually convinced him to use only faux fur in 2022.
