US forces have downed some of the Iran-launched drones flying toward Israel, according to officials.
A defense official told CNN that troops had managed to bring down the drones as part of their 'ironclad commitment' to Israel.
The official said: 'In accordance with our ironclad commitment to Israel's security, US forces in the region continue to shoot down Iranian-launched drones targeting Israel
'Our forces remain postured to provide additional defensive support and to protect US forces operating in the region.'
Fox News reported that another official confirmed to them that the US military had managed to shoot down 'dozens' of the drones.
Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) have now issued a chilling warning to the US saying any act from America would see a 'reciprocal' response.

In a statement, the IRGC said: 'Any threat by the terrorist state of America and the Zionist regime from any country will be followed by a reciprocal and proportional response from the Islamic Republic of Iran to the source of the threat.'
The New York Times have managed to verify the authenticity of photos and videos showing the debris of drones that had been taken down over Jordan.
The outlet said they had not been able to identify whether it was an Iranian missile, or an interceptor from either Israel or the US.
Social media footage shows the skies above Jordan being littered with explosions as drones are intercepted.
As well as drones being intercepted, the US has sent the war ship Bataan as well as two support ships with 2,500 Marines onboard into the Eastern Mediterranean.
US Congressional sources say the amphibious war ship Bataan is leading a US naval task force in the Eastern Mediterranean.
The Bataan has two support ships and together they have about 2,500 Marines onboard.
The US also has several guided missile destroyers including the Carney in the area.
In addition, the US has two destroyers and a Cruiser in the Red Sea that are fully armed with anti-missile weapons and they too are under orders to shoot down any Israeli bound missiles or drones.
Missiles have started to enter Israeli airspace, with footage showing some of them being intercepted by the Iron Dome system above Jerusalem.
Israel's military spokesperson Rear Admiral Daniel Hagari said Iran launched dozens of missiles at Israel, most of which were intercepted outside Israeli borders.

The Iranian salvo amounted to more than 200 drones and missiles so far, Hagari said, and had caused light damage to one Israeli military facility.
The Israeli military said later that it was not advising any residents to prepare to take shelter, revising an earlier alert in what appeared to signal the end of the threat.
Israel's Channel 12 TV cited an unnamed Israeli official as saying there would be a 'significant response' to the attack.

Iran had threatened to hit back at Israel over an attack in Syria, which Tehran say was an Israeli airstrike on a Iranian diplomatic building in Damascus.
Iran's Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei vowed retribution in the wake of the Damascus attack, for which Tel-Aviv has yet to take responsibility.
The April 1 attack destroyed Iran's consulate building in the city and killed seven Revolutionary Guards, including the two generals.
