Scottie Scheffler's triumph at the Masters has led to another major windfall for his caddie Ted Scott as the American continued his stunning season.
Scheffler scooped the record $3.5 million (£2.8million) prize by winning a second Green Jacket at the Masters on Sunday.
The World No 1 finished on 11-under par for the tournament at Augusta National, clinching a second victory in three years.
Scott has been on Scheffler's bag since 2022, with the American having since stormed to several notable tournament wins.
According to Forbes, Scheffler has already racked in $15 million (£12million) in prize money through nine tournaments this season.
Scottie Scheffler's caddie Ted Scott has made around £1.2million so far this season
Scott was on Scheffler's bag as the American won the Masters for a second time in three years
The 50-year-old is expected to have received a 10 per cent cut of the record £2.8million prize
The 27-year-old has won both the Arnold Palmer Invitational and the Players Championship, as well as his Masters triumph.
Scott is also expected to have secured incredible earnings as a consequence, with the custom for players to pay their caddies 10 percent of their prize money.
Should Scheffler follow the custom, Scott would have earned $1.45 million (£1.2 million) this year.
Scott's earnings would place the caddie in the top 50 golfers on the PGA Tour for prize money this season.
The caddie will have earned considerable sums in previous seasons with Scheffler, who has topped the PGA Tour prize money list for the last two years.
He earned a record $14 million (£11.2m) in the 2021-22 season - a figure he has already surpassed this year - before earning $21 million (£16.8m) on the 2022-23 tour.
With Scheffler having banked $50 million (£40m) in recent seasons, Scott would have taken home an estimated $5 m (£4m) in prize money alone.
Scott is a 25-year veteran on the PGA Tour, having previously caddied for former Masters champion Bubba Watson.
He reportedly initially needed some convincing before agreeing to caddie for Scheffler.
Scott now has four wins as a caddie at the Masters, just one behind the tournament record
'Teddy and Scottie talked for quite awhile before they went to work for him,' fellow caddie and friend Paul Tesori said, via Golf Digest.
'Scottie's young and has had a bit of a habit of getting a little angry on the golf course, and maybe even a little angry toward his caddie.
'Ted being a veteran, almost 50 years old, being out here for so long, he was able to say: "I want to come work for you, but you have got to promise me that you're going to work on these areas." And not only did Scottie say yes, he has absolutely done it.'
Scott now has four wins as a caddie at the Masters, after Watson's triumphs in 2012 and 2014.
He is one behind the record held by Willie Stokes and Willie Peterson, while he is level with Nathaniel Avery and Steve Williams.
