Chynna Phillips and Billy Baldwin have opened up about the ways in which they are working to repair their marriage - while admitting that they were both reduced to tears while having a particularly in-depth conversation about the state of their relationship.
In a new video shared to her YouTube channel over the weekend, former musician Chynna, 56 - who converted to Christianity in 2022 - and the actor, 61, spoke about the way that they're reconnecting, just weeks after they opened up about how her newfound love of Jesus had caused a fierce 'rupture' in their relationship.
Chynna explained that they were trying a 'new thing' that she called 'tell me how you are,' which involved them encouraging each other to speak freely about how they were feeling.
'It's a nice way to sort of check in,' Billy told viewers. 'It's like, let's have a conversation or a discussion.

'It's about connection and [sharing] what's going on in your head and your heart.'
Chynna said they had such a good 'tell me how you are' chat 'the other day' that they both ended up 'crying.'
'We were connecting in a way that we hadn't connected in a while and it felt so good,' she added.
She explained that the conversation starter was a good way for them to get things off their chest, and admitted that Billy usually 'rattles off a list of like 20 things that are bothering him.'
But then, Billy decided to share one of the main things that was bothering him - Chynna's fierce passion for Jesus.
'I walk into the house and 24/7 I hear Jesus, Jesus, Jesus, Jesus,' he explained, adding that it was 'overwhelming him.'
The Backdraft star said it felt like Chynna's life had 'become one note,' adding, 'And that one note is Jesus.'
'Which is actually the only note there is,' Chynna interjected, before the video cut to her discussing other topics.

Over the last few months, the pair has been fiercely honest about their marital problems.
Over the last few months, the pair has been fiercely honest about their marital problems.
Back in January, Chynna claimed in another YouTube video that her faith had sparked a 'power struggle' between her and her husband, who she wed in 1995 and has welcomed three kids with.
She shared, 'I've been with Billy for 32 years and we have an awesome marriage but we definitely had the hardest couple years of our marriage these past couple of years, it has been a real struggle.
'I think it's because I just took the deep dive into Jesus and I think he didn't quite know what to do with that because it was kind of all Jesus all the time.
'We sort of had a power struggle. The Bible says that [wives] are supposed to submit and [men] are the head and that's all true, but it also says that the man is supposed to treat the wife like the church and all of that so I think that I was just struggling with that.'
At the time, the mom-of-three said she and the actor had 'separated for six months,' but she didn't specify when the break occurred.
Chynna also said that she and Billy feel like they have very little in common lately.
'Sometimes he's like, "You're not into the things that I'm into. You're not into politics, you're not into wrestling, you're not into the philanthropy things that I do,"' she continued.
'We did a couple of things together and that was amazing and very fulfilling but we've never really found that one thing that the two of us can latch on to and do together as a team and so I'm praying in 2024 that we're going to find that one thing that the two of us can do together that feels really fulfilling.
Back in January, Chynna, who converted to Christianity in 2022, candidly admitted that her faith had caused a divide between her and Billy in a YouTube video
The two sat then down for an unflinchingly honest on-screen discussion about their marital problems a few weeks later
They said the former socialite's dedication to Jesus had become a 'glaring issue' that left Billy questioning whether they were going to 'make it in the long run'
'I am not 23 years old anymore, I met him when I was 23 and I'm changing. I'm growing, you know?
'I'm not the same person I was 30 years ago and I refuse to have the same marriage that we had 30 years ago. It's time for us to mature and grow.'

'You and I have this sort of systemic problem in our relationship, which we have been very honest about from the beginning, which is that you see your life and the world through a very different lens than I do,' Chynna said to Billy.
'Sometimes that tends to cause ruptures and little chasms in our relationship, and we are trying our best to navigate those differences.
'The Christianity aspect has been sort of a glaring issue for a while because [religion] has sort of overtaken my life in many ways.
'It has perhaps even made you question whether you and I can really make it in the long run.
'You would never divorce me over it - but [I think you wonder], "Will we be able to stay truly happy and connected and thrive with me being on this Jesus trajectory?"'
Billy admitted that her speaking about their brief split had left him 'uncomfortable' because he 'didn't really want it revealed.'
He also slammed the media for making it sound worse than it was - and insisted that they had 'worked through it and that everything was now fine.'
'The headlines were suggesting that you were in a very taxing or trying relationship, almost like an abusive situation, for a long time that ultimately resulted in a separation,' he said to Chynna.
'It made me feel bad, like it was implying or suggesting that we've had a bad relationship or that you were in an unhealthy situation.'
In a third video, shared last month, he spoke further about how he feels about Chynna publicly sharing their family's 'innermost secrets'
And he made it clear that he thinks his wife should keep the personal details of their relationship off of the internet
Chynna stated that she was 'blindsided' by all the articles that came out following her video, and insisted that despite some of their issues, she 'absolutely still loved' Billy.
'My feelings [towards you] have only grown and increased and intensified over the years. And I mean that with all of my heart,' she concluded. 'I love you with all of my heart.'

Chynna explained that she sometimes struggled with keeping what she was going through to herself because she felt like she was being 'disingenuous' with her viewers.
But Billy told her: '[Most people] don't get on YouTube and talk about all of their family's innermost secrets publicly to everybody.
'Some of the stuff you just don't talk about and you take to the grave. It's all about balance.
'You are very open and people love that about you but that doesn't mean you need to talk about about everything, especially if there's going to be implications for other people.'
Billy suggested that from now on, Chynna should focus on discussing 'what's going on in the world' with her followers, and leave the 'personal stuff' out of her videos.
'People are interested in hearing about what we're struggling with but let's not cross that boundary, that line of dysfunction and intimacy,' he added.
'There's stuff we shouldn't share publicly, [your viewers] wouldn't share that kind of stuff and they would agree that we shouldn't.'
