‘Fund climate action not genocide,' one sign read, indicating they were not happy with the Biden administration's financial support of Israel's war in Gaza.
The group spent the night in the street next to Harris' home in protest. They appeared disillusioned by Harris' lack of action on the issue, recalling the positions she supported while running for president in 2020 like the Green New Deal.
Harris' motorcade was forced to take an alternative route from her home to the Los Angeles Airport on Monday, as she had scheduled a campaign trip to Las Vegas, Nevada.

“Harris, Harris, can’t you see, this is an emergency,” the protesters chanted, insisting that 'fossil fuels are killing me.'
Six of the activists were arrested by police.
One of the arrested activists criticized Biden and Harris for continuing to allow record production of fossil fuels.
'I’m on the frontlines raising my voice for my Black and Latine families and friends because I know that we deserve to have affordable housing and healthcare, we deserve an administration who will fight for us, but instead of declaring a climate emergency, we are seeing Biden and Harris expand oil and gas production to record levels,' Ariela Lara, 18, said according to a release.
A bail fund was set up on GoFundMe to help get activists out of jail but at the time of publication, only $90 of their $5,000 goal had been reached.
