A gardener has revealed her top hack for getting rid of flies, mosquitoes, and bugs in a matter of minutes.
All you have to do is mix a few ingredients together in a bowl and set a trap for the pesky insects.
Barbara O'Neill shared her fool-proof recipe on Facebook along with the stunning results.
To make it, mix half a cup of vinegar, half a cup of olive oil, and half a cup of shampoo together.
Place the bowl in the kitchen and wait for bugs to flock to it. Leave the mixture out for a couple of hours or until you feel the insects have been caught. Repeat if necessary.
A gardener revealed a hack for getting rid of flies, mosquitoes, and bugs in minutes
Another Australian cleaning and organising guru previously shared her simple hack for preventing mould and pests in your wardrobe.
Anita Birges, who heads Mise en Place Professional Organising, recommended using jumbo pieces of chalk along with clove, lavender, and peppermint essential oils to solve all your problems.
The expert simply adds a few drops of clove oil onto a jumbo chalk stick and puts it in her drawer to absorb moisture and kill mould spores.
You can find the chalk at various Aussie retailers including Kmart - where you can buy a pack of 20 for just $3.25.
Anita recommends placing the DIY deterrents down the side of your drawers and on the very top shelf of your wardrobe without a container.
The professional also revealed that it was best to stick to white-coloured chalk so that pigment doesn't bleed onto your clothes.
You'll need some drops of lavender oil on another piece of chalk to get rid of moths and silver fish.
Lastly, peppermint oil does wonders to leave your drawers smelling fresh and discourages spiders, mice, and other creepy crawlies.
Anita recommends putting two to three drops of essential oil per jumbo piece of chalk.
She purchases all her oils at her local chemist.
