The 35-year-old pregnant woman was on a seven-day round trip departing from Orlando on Saturday.
On Monday morning, while the ship was transiting 260 nautical miles northwest of Aguadilla, Puerto Rico, officials in the San Juan sector received a request for medevac assistance, according to the Coast Guard.
The crew promptly directed a Coast Guard Air Station Borinquen MH-60T Jayhawk helicopter and an HC-144 Ocean Sentry aircraft from the Coast Guard Air Station in Miami to rendezvous with the cruise ship.
Once on scene, the aircrew deployed their rescue swimmer aboard the cruise ship, who prepared a rescue basket and litter to lift the woman and a cruise ship doctor.
In the video shared by the Coast Guard, the helicopter can be seen descending and approaching the ship, while a rescue team transports the woman on a stretcher.
The patient is then lifted off the deck, rising into the air on a harness and transported into the belly of the helicopter.
The aircrew transported the 35-year-old patient to the Fernando Luis Ribas Dominicci Airport in San Juan, where medical personnel was waiting.
She was later transported to the local 'Centro Medico' Hospital, according to the Coast Guard.
