Mexican authorities are searching for a man who was seen on video splashing a section of soccer fans with urine he put into a cup at Estadio BBVA.

The sickening footage shows a male fan shouting at the seating section while his friend urinating into a beer cup.

He then looked at another spectator standing next to him and tossed the pee into the crowd during the middle of a Liga MX match between the visiting Tigres UANL and C.F. Monterrey.

The man, who was wearing a Tigres UANL jersey, could be seen laughing and shouting at the fans after dumping urine over them. He subsequently surveyed the stadium’s upper bowl to check if anyone had spotted him without knowing that he was being recorded from the level below.

Liga MX and C.F. Monterrey have not addressed the incident as of Wednesday.

Any person over the age of 12 who visits Estadio BBVA or any other soccer stadium in Mexico has to adhere by Liga MX rules that require fans to submit a selfie and personal data via the Liga MX FAN ID platform as a way to ensure security across the league venues

Authorities may not have to go to great lengths to identify and locate the man because the league requires all fans over the age of 12 to submit a selfie and personal data via the Liga MX FAN ID platform as a way to ensure security across the league’s soccer stadiums.

Under FAN ID, anyone attending a match must take a selfie and scan their legal identification document into a mobile app.

Upon entering the stadium, the fan must present the app’s QR code.

The unruly behavior comes after Tigres UANL goalkeeper Nahuel Guzmán, who is recovering from an injury, was caught using a laser beam to distract C.F. Monterrey keeper Esteban Andrada.

Officials removed Guzmán at halftime from the luxury suite where he was watching the match. His recent antics did not work as C.F. Monterrey came back from two goals down to draw 3-3 in the rivalry known as the Clásico Regiomontano.

After the match, Andrada went on an expletive-filled rant on Instagram (which included homophobic slurs) that criticized Guzmán's behavior.

Multiple videos on social media show a man appearing resembling Guzmán in a luxury suite with his arms crossed before a green laser beam appears to emanate from his left hand.

Guzmán was critical of officials in an Instagram post of his own suggesting that Monterrey's equalizer in stoppage time should not have counted - arguing that the corner kick that the goal stemmed from didn't have the ball properly set on the corner marker.

He also complained that the kick took place in the tenth minute of added time, despite there only being eight minutes added on.

Laser pointers are generally not allowed in stadiums - but they are occasionally used in Latin America to distract opposition players.
