The reality of losing his only Super Bowl ring seems to be dawning on Jason Kelce, after revealing this week that he lost it in a tank of chili during a New Heights live show.
The older Kelce brother seemed to laugh it off while telling Travis about it on this week's edition of their hugely popular podcast but now, responding to someone on Twitter, Kelce sounded subdued.
Wendy's joked on X that Kelce's ring had turned up in their soda, to which a fan responded with: 'There’s nothing funny about desecrating a championship ring in chili.'
Kelce saw and replied, saying: 'Understandable position. I grew up loving hockey, the Stanley Cup in my view is the greatest trophy in all of sports.
'One of the things that makes it great is the lore that surrounds it, and the places and things it’s done.

Kelce has now said on Twitter that he was 'incredibly stupid' in not taking greater care of it
'I enjoyed doing fun and different things with my ring, because I liked to live life with it and do things no one else has done with a Super Bowl ring.
'To me it made it mine, and more unique. Definitely wasn’t trying to lose it, incredibly stupid that it is gone. fully anticipated pulling it out of the chili washing it off and wearing it again. Hopefully it is found some day.'
He got no sympathy from Travis when he told him what happened on this week's New Heights.
'What did you expect to happen?' he said. 'You're such a f****ng imbecile. God dammit Jason.'
Kelce played in two Super Bowls in his iconic 13-year career with the Eagles, helping Philadelphia win its third championship with a win over the New England Patriots in 2018.
Five years later he returned to the NFL's biggest stage, only to suffer defeat against brother Travis and the Chiefs.
At the end of his 13th season in Philadelphia, Kelce recently announced his retirement from football in an emotional press conference.
