The Colorado Rockies are under federal investigation after hitting coach Hensley Muelens posted a video of himself in the cockpit during a recent chartered flight, according to a report.

While the Federal Aviation Administration has not specifically Hensley, the organization confirmed to 9News' Chris Vanderveen that it had launched an investigation into an 'unauthorized person in the flight deck' during the April 10 flight.

The flight was chartered by United Airlines, which said it was 'deeply disturbed by what we see in that video.'

Mail Sport has reached out to the Rockies for comment.

In the now-deleted Instagram video, Muelens can be seen sitting in the cockpit alongside a pilot, who waves to the camera.

'I'm gonna land the plane tonight,' Muelens says. 'So relax.'

'Had some fun in the cockpit on our flight from Denver to Toronto,' he captioned the clip.

'Thanks to the captain and the first officer of our United charter that allowed me this great experience.'

A United spokesperson also said the situation was a 'clear violation of our safety and operational policies.'

The flight was reportedly at 'cruise altitude' with autopilot engaged when Muelens manned the cockpit.

United also said that the pilots have been 'withheld' from service while they conduct their own investigation.

Muelens said the plane was at 35,000 feet in the video.

The Rockies have begun this season 4-15, and will face the Mariners next on Friday night.

Earlier this week, former Rockies star Matt Holliday’s son Jackson made his Major League debut for the Baltimore Orioles at age 20 – just six years after his father retired.

The first pick of the 2022 MLB Draft, Jackson now ranks as baseball’s top prospect according to ESPN, MLB.com and The Athletic.
