S Club have brought their Nineties energy to life once again during their The Good Times reunion tour, but have come under fire from cruel trolls mocking their dance performance.

The band - consisting of Rachel Stevens, 46, Tina Barrett, 47, Jon Lee, 41, Bradley McIntosh, 42 and Jo O'Meara, 44, kicked off the eagerly-anticipated tour in October.

They have been performing without Hannah Spearritt, 43- who quit the group last year following the death of their beloved bandmate Paul Cattermole

Bringing a lively energy on stage, the pop group have replicated most of their old dance routines to some iconic tunes to bring some nostalgia.

Yet, not everyone has been impressed with cruel trolls took to Instagram criticising their 'outdated' performances.

A fan in attendance shared a clip from the live gig showing the band dressed in different colour suits - leading some nasty trolls to compare them to Power Rangers costumes.

Trolls penned: 'Looks like most of them stopped movin to the funky beat'; 'It's like going to an over 55's exercise class'; 'Hahaha. They look knackered....';

'Is this a joke?,' asked one, while another said: 'They old and tired,' accompanied with a laughing emoji.

'Power Rangers Tour?,' asked one joking as another commented: 'Looks like the teletubbies.'

But some loyal fans run into the band's defence, praising their vibrant performances for letting them have 'the best time'.

'Saw them last week in NYC and it was truly the best!!!,' said one person.

'Getting paid to do something you love whilst bringing joy to others, I see nothing wrong with this whatsoever'; 'It was so epic. Most fun I’ve had in years honestly'.

S Club 7 was formed in 1998 and the band had a string of huge hits between 1999 and 2003.

They had four number one singles including Don't Stop Movin' and Never Had A Dream Come True.

Band member Paul tragically passed away on April 6, 2023 aged 46 - just two months after he and the band announced they were due to go on the reunion tour.

Rachel has recently spoke about how touring with the group has been 'cathartic' following Paul's death.

Paul died suddenly of natural causes, before it was later revealed he'd passed away due to heart issues. There was no inquest into his death.

His body was discovered in his ground floor flat in Wareham, Dorset, devastating his bandmates and fans.

Paul, who made a living as a tarot card reader after quitting the group in 2002, was said to have been in 'good spirits' when he was seen at a park close to his home days earlier.

A spokeswoman for Dorset Coroner's Office said: 'We confirm that Mr Cattermole died from natural causes and our investigations have concluded. As his death was from natural causes there will be no inquest.'

His ex-girlfriend and fellow S Club 7 star Hannah was said to be 'in bits' after she was told the news.

Following his death, the band rebranded as S Club as Hannah pulled out of the tour a month later

His family and S Club released a joint statement announcing his sad passing.

They said: 'It is with great sadness that we announce the unexpected passing of our beloved son and brother Paul Cattermole.

'Paul was found yesterday, 6th April 2023 at his home in Dorset and was pronounced dead later that afternoon.

'While the cause of death is currently unknown, Dorset Police has confirmed that there were no suspicious circumstances.

'Paul's family, friends and fellow members of S Club request privacy at this time.'

At the time the band paid tribute to Paul on social media.

Writing alongside a black and white photograph of him in the band's heyday, they said: 'We are truly devastated by the passing of our brother Paul. There are no words to describe the deep sadness and loss we all feel. We were so lucky to have had him in our lives and are thankful for the amazing memories we have.

'He will be so deeply missed by each and every one of us.'

After quitting S Club 7 in 2002, Paul made a living as a tarot card reader after falling on hard times.

He reinvented himself as a 'spiritual psychic detective', earning money by charging £39.99 for reading on a spiritual website.

In 2021, Paul launched a YouTube channel called Tarot Me This, where he called upon fans to make a donation in exchange for a reading, explaining 'clairvoyance' was his new line of work.

He later revealed he hid his psychic abilities from the rest of S Club 7 because he feared it would make him sound 'crazy'
