A heroic Taco Bell manager in Pennsylvania managed to save the life of a baby who turned blue after he stopped breathing.

Becky Arbaugh, from Bucks County, heard the cries of a distraught mother in the drive-thru whose infant was struggling to breathe on April 13.

She sprung into action and immediately threw out her headset to help Natasha Long and save the life of 11-month-old Myles.

Surveillance footage shows the dramatic moment Arbaugh performs chest compressions on the baby while Long watches in distress.

Myles eventually started breathing again and was taken to St. Christopher's Hospital for Children for treatment. His mother has described the Taco Bell manager as a 'guardian angel'.

Long decided to stop by Taco Bell after she picked up a prescription at a local pharmacy before she heard her baby suffocating.

'I ran out of the car and ran around and opened the car door. I pulled him out and he turned completely blue and was lifeless,' she told WPVI. 'I didn't know what to do.'

Arbaugh dropped everything and rushed to her aid when she heard the desperate screams.

Video shows the moment the Taco Bell manager took baby Myles' from his mother's hands and began performing CPR.

'I threw my headset. I ran outside. I took the baby and I started to do chest compressions on the baby and then he finally started to breathe,' Arbaugh said.

'When my kids were little, my daughter had a similar incident, so I knew what she was feeling. I knew if I kept her calm and I stayed calm, there was no thought in my mind that the baby wasn’t going to breathe again.'

Long has thanked Arbaugh for saving her son's life. 'We couldn’t be more grateful to Becky. She saved my son’s life,' she said.

'She was there right when I needed her. Was the wrong time but the right place.'

But Arbaugh doesn't see herself as a hero but just as a mother who saw another mother who needed help.

'I’m just a mom helping a mom. I didn’t do anything different from what anyone else should be doing,' she insisted.

'I knew how that was and I heard it and I felt it instantly and I had to go and help her cause I knew, it’s painful. You’re just so helpless as a mom when that happens.'
