What could outshine a Spice Girls reunion, complete with dance moves? Tom Cruise doing the splits.
The A-list actor left guests at Victoria Beckham's 50th birthday party in London on Saturday night slack jawed in astonishment after performing an incredible 'breakdance' routine – which culminated in the splits.
Super-fit Cruise, 61, who famously does all his own stunts, was a surprise on the guest list at the bash. He has actually known the Beckhams for 20 years and David 'idolises' him.
He is in the UK while completing filming on Mission Impossible: Dead Reckoning Part Two which is due in cinemas next year.

After a formal sit-down dinner, the Top Gun actor was one of the most enthusiastic dancers in the crowd of 120 at the private members club Oswalds, in Mayfair.
Wearing full black tie, including a waistcoat, Cruise stunned many when he demonstrated a series of breakdancing moves, culminating in the splits. One guest said: 'People were absolutely dumbfounded.'
Sadly, cameras were strictly banned by the Beckhams and its not thought that anyone sneaked a picture.
Cruise has famously been seen busting moves on screen – memorably in his breakout 1983 hit film Risky Business, when he slid across the floor wearing underwear and socks to Old Time Rock n Roll.
More recently when playing producer Les Grossman in the comedy Tropic Thunder, he grooved with improbable swagger to Get Back by Ludacris.

Apparently his turn on the dance floor at Oswalds was much more in the Tropic Thunder vein. Emerging in the early hours, and wearing dark glasses, Cruise beamed from ear to ear, and signed autographs.
It was a joyous evening and Victoria was both 'elated' by the success of the party and 'moved' by the turn out which included good friends like chef Gordon Ramsay and his wife Tana, actress Eva Longoria, and singer Marc Anthony, who had flown in from Miami with his new wife Nadia. (David was the best man at Anthony's fourth wedding earlier this year and Anthony performed at Brooklyn Beckham's wedding.)
The actress Salma Hayek was there too with her fashion tycoon husband Francois-Henri Pinault. Other guests included the Vogue editor Edward Enninful and model Rosie Huntington-Whiteley with her actor husband Jason Statham. Guy Ritchie – Becks' close pal – and his wife Jacquie were there too, along with Victoria's family including her younger sister Louise.

'Victoria really seemed to be in seventh heaven,' said a guest. 'I fear she might have woken up with a sore head though.'
The guests also significantly included all of the Spice Girls – Emma Bunton, Mel B, Mel C and Geri Halliwell - which had been her greatest wish since she sent out 'Save the Date' cards in February, as revealed by this newspaper.
'Getting together was a lot of fun but it was also a meaningful moment for all of them,' said a friend. 'They have had fallings in and fallings out – plenty of them, but they all loved being there to celebrate with Victoria and her family.'

The festivities were fuelled by 'dozens' of £170 bottles of Don Julio 1942 tequila. The spirit is a particular favourite as it's so low calorie.

Earlier in the evening the song Mama was performed by Victoria's son Cruz in lieu of a speech. Brooklyn, Romeo, Harper and David gave speeches praising Victoria for her qualities as a mum, wife and entrepreneur.

Oldest boy Brooklyn appeared to choke back tears as he told her: 'You are the best mum in the world and we all love you so much.' Husband David told the room that he 'worships' his wife. They have been married for 25 years this July.
Mrs Beckham has such a good time that at one point in the evening she cast aside the walking sticks which she arrived with (she broke her foot in the gym in February) so that she could dance.
