Golf glamor girl Paige Spiranac is relishing in the moment for women in sports after a banner week for superstars in their respective sports.
Spiranac took to Twitter after American women's golfer Nelly Korda won the Chevron Championship - her fifth straight victory on the LPGA Tour.
'5 straight wins for Nelly Korda! Pretty cool to see Nelly and Scottie [Scheffler] dominating,' Spiranac posted.
To clarify: while Korda has won five events on the LPGA Tour this season, she has only won four in a row, not five.
She then offered up a suggestion that could draw audiences: 'Now we need to see them play a match against each other!'
Golf glamor girl Paige Spiranac is celebrating what's surely an exciting time for women in sport
She celebrated Nelly Korda's victory on Sunday, but mistakenly tweeted it was her fifth in a row
She took stock of the week that women in sports have had thanks to Korda and Caitlin Clark
Clark was picked first overall by the Indiana Fever in this year's WNBA Draft
Then, Korda won The Chevron Championship, the first major of the year, on Sunday
It's the fourth straight victory for Korda and her fifth LPGA crown so far this season
But later in the evening, Spiranac took a whole look at the field of women's sports and was in awe: 'Caitlin Clark, Nelly Korda and so many more! What a time for women's sports!'
It was just last week that Clark was selected first overall in the WNBA Draft after a stellar college career at the University of Iowa.
She became the NCAA's all-time leading scorer in a career for both men and women this year, with an astounding 3,951 points scored.
But Clark may not be the most dominant woman athlete to start the year: that honor may be more deserved for Korda.
There have been nine LPGA events played so far this season. Korda has won six of them.
That includes the first major of the year, the Chevron Championship - where Korda won by two strokes over Sweden's Maja Stark at The Club at Carlton Woods outside Houston, Texas.
It's her fourth victory in a row, having previously won the FIR HILLS SERI PAK Championship, the Ford Championship, and the T-Mobile Match Play.
Earlier in the season, Korda claimed victory at the LPGA Drive On Championship.
