A tattoo artist has caused a stir on Instagram after claiming she gave a client a 'crying blood' tattoo.
Atlanta-based tattooist, Porsher Leigh, shared a video of an unknown man who appeared to be inked with blood-red teardrops which ran from his eyes down to his mouth.
The supposed tattoo imitated real tears with scarlet ink pooling in clumps beneath his eyelid before thinning out as it reached the lower half of his face.
Porsher asked her followers whether they would consider getting the same tattoo, but some people said the body art was too 'wild' while others claimed it would ruin their chances of getting a good job.
Although the 'tattoo' looked to 3D to be a real inking, her followers were convinced it was genuine and reacted in uproar.

The tattoo imitated real tears as the blood-red teardrops which ran from his eyes down to his mouth
Taking to her post, she wrote: 'Crying blood tattoo by yours truly. What do you guys think?'
Throughout the short video her client kept his eyes closed, perhaps to best showcase the details of her work.
In one clip, he was filmed lying on what seemed to be a tattoo parlour bed, while in another shot he appeared to be standing. The work of art could be seen vividly in both shots.
The teardrop on the right partially covered another of the man's tattoos which read, 'Joshua 1:9' - a Bible verse about being 'strong and of good courage'.
Accompanying the left teardrop was an image of a tiny droplet, which mimicked the residue of real teardrops.
However many of the comments spoke to the nature of the tattoo rather than the art itself, and seemed to be totally convinced it was real.
Some people said the body art was too 'wild' while others claimed it would ruin their chances of getting a good job
One person wrote: 'Did he think about how low the chances were gonna be of getting a job or pursing a career? Good work though'.
Another asked: 'Why would he do that?'
'He will never get a good job' commented a third.
'I don’t even wanna be around someone looking like this' added one.
Someone else said: 'That's wild'.
Another person wrote: 'Thinking it’s logical to tat[too] blood tears on a face has to be the most idiotic and barbarous thing I’ve seen today'.
Many people blamed Porsher for carrying out the tattoo and insisted she should have turned him away.
One person wrote: 'Sometimes you've got to be a good person and tell people "no"'.
'You should’ve told him "no"' agreed another.
Someone else said: 'I think they should take your tattoo machines away because you clearly don’t say "no" to anything'.
Meanwhile some praised Porsher for a job well done: 'Beautifully executed' they said.
While teardrop tattoos have often been associated with murder or gang killings, it is unclear what the meaning behind the 'crying blood' tattoo is.
