According to Anderson - and his Chick-fil-A worker friend - any customers who are ordering a kid's meal can swap out the toy option in favor of a free ice cream cup or cone.

Sharing his experience with the hack, Anderson revealed that the location he visited actually forgot to trade his toy for a cone, but noted that as soon as he alerted them to the mistake, they gave him his ice cream, adding elatedly that they also 'let me keep the toy'.

After receiving his dessert, he commented: 'Chick-fil-A has the best service out of all the fast food restaurants. Its way better than McDonald's.'

He went on to test a variety of other hacks, noting that all of them help to drastically reduce the cost of a single meal, while ensuring that you still end up with plenty of food.

'I've always found Chick-fil-A to be overpriced for the amount of food you get, however, they justify [it] by giving excellent service, and high quality food,' he said.

'But, if these secret hacks work, you can get a lot of food for an affordable price.'

Another hack on his list was ordering a two-count chicken strips kid's meal, with a white bun and pickles on the side.

'You can build your own chicken sandwich for a fraction of the cost,' he said, revealing that the pickles are completely free, and the bun costs just 30 cents.

'Top it off with a Chick-fil-A sauce and bun and enjoy. This is amazing.'

Moving on to another sweet treat, Anderson advised: 'Get a lemonade with no ice, and dip your ice cream cone in it to make frozen lemonade.

'This hack works and tastes great, but make sure you drink some of the lemonade before dunking your ice cream cone inside.

'Secret' hacks from a former Chick-fil-A employee

  1. Order a two-count chick-n-strips kid's meal with buns and pickles on the side
  2. Replace the toy in the kid's meal with an ice cream cup or cone
  3. Get a lemonade with no ice and dip an ice cream cone in it to make 'frozen lemonade'
  4. Unlimited sauces are available
  5. Add bacon to anything
  6. Add cheese sauce to waffle fries

Moving on to sauces, the food influencer set out to disprove claims that the fast food chain doesn't allow you to order more than two sauces at a time.

'You can get unlimited sauces,' he insists. 'Usually Chick fil-A limits each customer to two sauces per order. This is so they don't run out.

'However, if you look behind the counter, there is quite a lot of sauce back there.

'So don't be afraid to go up and ask him if you want more sauce. They'll gladly give you more and say, "my pleasure."

Anderson continued: 'You can add bacon to anything. I got a macaroni and cheese for my kids meal and topped it with bacon.

'All of these hacks so far can be done with a single kids meal. If you include the buns and pickles on the side, it's about $10.'

He added: 'For one more bonus hack, you can add cheese sauce on your waffle fries.

'The worker told me that they couldn't put the cheese on the fries, but they said I can have cheese on the side.

'When I got my order, I was wondering where my cheese sauce was, but then I realized that the worker misunderstood me, and put a slice of cheese inside the bun that I used to make the chicken sandwich earlier, which I thought was pretty funny, so I don't know if this hack is true or not.'

In total, Anderson revealed that he spent just over $10 on what proved to be a very hefty meal - having earned himself free pickles, free ice cream, and multiple sauces.

In his video, Anderson shared even more helpful hacks and said: 'I've always found Chick-fil-A to be overpriced for the amount of food you get'

However his hack trials sparked quite the heated debate over in the comments, where multiple former Chick-fil-A workers chimed in to share their own experiences - with some saying that not every location will allow you to get away with every one of these tricks.

'Former CFA [Chick-fil-A] employee here,' one wrote. 'We never limit you [on sauces]. I once had someone ask for 50 sauces and my bagger obliged.'

Another noted that those in search of cheese sauce may well end up disappointed, because not every location has the condiment available.

'I can confirm all this, also not all chick fil a have cheese sauce,' they wrote.

One joked that, while the hacks may be secret to some, in a few locations they are very well known, writing: 'As a CFA employee, i have so many people that order most of these daily, it’s a secret in a lot of locations but def not mine.'

A former employee added that the kid's meal hacks are so good that many workers will actually use them in order to enjoy a large meal themselves for a fraction of the price.

'Used to work there for 7+ yrs. This is what we do to get fed after a 12+hr shift. Cheese sauce only at some locations,' they wrote.
