An Indiana truck driver has been charged with attempted murder after police said he rammed a vehicle into another motorist as he stood outside his car.
Dustin L. Roecker, 35, is accused of plowing into the man at 'high speed' on April 20.

The victim was rushed to the hospital with leg injuries. His female passenger was also transported to the hospital for minor injuries.
Roecker fled the scene on foot and was eventually picked up following a pursuit by Indiana State police with assistance from deputies.

The chase ended in Sullivan County and he was taken into custody. Cops said he had managed to steal a car after the hit-and-run to make his escape.
Roecker was initially transported to a local hospital due to gunshot wounds which are not expected to be life-threatening.
The victim told police he had noticed that he was being followed by a red truck but that he did not know why.
Cops said it was determined Roecker was under the influence of drugs and alcohol at the time.
An initial investigation did not determine any relationship between Roecker and the victim, police said.
