This is the horrific moment a mother and a son shot up a home in Brazil, killing two people and wounding a priest following a long-running battle over rent.

CCTV footage showed the alleged shooters, identified as cattle rancher Ines Gemilaki, 48, and 28-year-old emergency care doctor Bruno Gemilaki Dal Poz, trespassing in the home in Peixoto de Azevedo, central Brazil, on Sunday.

The duo, who arrived in a pickup truck, burst into the home, which at the time was occupied by eight people, and started shooting.

The residents were seen jumping at the sound of gunshots, before rushing to escape or hide.

Four people managed to escape through a glass door, but four chose to duck and hide in the home.

Dust was seen being blasted from the wall as Ines, seen wearing a blue top and white trousers, walked in and shot into the home.

She can be seen peering over a sofa, and firing several shots towards the people crouched behind them, before running out of the house.

Footage from outside the property showed her husband and getaway driver, identified as Marcio Ferreira Gonçalves, 45, walking back to the pickup truck, before being followed by Ines and Bruno, who fired shots from the garden using a 12-gauge shotgun.

They were seen buying beer, water and soft drinks as they passed through a town eight miles away. Police are currently hunting them down, and are yet to find them.

Pilson Pereira da Silva, 69, and 81-year-old Rui Luiz Bogo died on the spot, while 45-year-old priest José Roberto Domingos left injured after the bullet reportedly pinged off his watch.

The priest was treated in hospital, and is reportedly in a stable condition.

Rui's daughter, 40-year-old Janete Bogo, told local media: 'Initially, the victims thought it was a robbery.'

She claimed: 'My father didn't even leave the table because he saw it was Ines, and he could never have imagined she would do such a thing.

'The gate was open, they arrived and entered.

'Unfortunately, my father remained seated.'

Chief Detective Anna Marien believes the motive for the shooting is a dispute about rent payments for the house where the crime happened.

She said: 'The suspect was renting that property from the owner and, upon leaving the residence, left some debts, which led to a lawsuit.

'This led to several disputes and misunderstandings between them, ultimately resulting in this heinous crime.'

She says the shooter's target was the homeowner, but he was not hit.

The chief detective said: 'The suspect left the house with some debts, and they always argued, which ultimately led to this.

'The deceased had no relation to the debt.'

Hours before the shooting, Ines filed a report to police against the home's owner, claiming her family had been receiving threats in connection with the lawsuit.

She also told police that three men had broken into her house looking for her, telling her she owed them money and had also allegedly threatened her son.

Ines also told the police that she had been sent intimidating messages about a debt she claimed she did not owe.
