Predictions of severe spring weather including hailstorms, winds and fires have been made for the East Coast - leaving residents dreading the worst.
The National Weather Service has forecasted a combination of 25 and 30 percent humidity, 10 to 20 mph south winds and drying fuels that may cause fires from around midday until around sunset today in New Jersey.
A similar prediction has also been made for Maine by the agency.
Strong breezy conditions combined with dead and dry fuels such as grass, leaves and twigs can potentially lead to uncontrolled fire spread across much of central and northern Maine today.
Similar elevated fire risk forecasts have also been made for North Carolina, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Virginia and Delaware.

The St. Marks River near Newport On Old Magnolia Rd could potentially see some flooding between today and Thursday evening.
Potential flooding could also occur at the Aucilla River at Lamont between today and Saturday evening and at the Suwannee River near Wilcox starting from Wednesday night to Sunday morning.
