Jon Bon Jovi says his 'aspiring' actor son is not being hired for roles because auditions are taken place over Zoom.
The Livin' On A Prayer rocker bemoaned the modern trend and said casting agents are missing out on witnessing the 'magic' of his 21-year-old Jake Bongiovi son when he walks into a room.
'My son is a young, aspiring actor,' the 62-year-old says.
'He would have that magic when he walked into a room for an audition - but he came up during Covid and now everything is on Zoom.
'All these casting agents are missing out on the personality of the young actor, winning your heart, not just reading your lines.'

The model is making his film debut in this year's Rockbottom in which he channels his father as he takes to the stage in the rock 'n' roll comedy about an '80s hair metal band called CougarSnake who make an unexpected comeback.
In the trailer for the film, which is available to stream on Prime Video from March 28, Bongiovi transforms from a pizza delivery boy into a lead singer for the aging rock band - and is attacked by a bevy of older women on stage.
Bongiovi has also been cast in another movie called Sweethearts and is the third of four kids for Jon Bon Jovi and his high school sweetheart, Dorothea Hurley.
He told Man About Town magazine in 2022 that he was intent on continuing to carve out a career as an actor rather than follow in his father's rock 'n' roll footsteps.
When asked if he fancied a career in music he said: 'I think I'll leave that to my dad! There's really no following the act there.'
He shared: 'There was always music playing in the house growing up, all different types of genres from all different types of worlds. But what spoke to me were the people on the screen, not the voices through the speakers.'
But his acting career is yet to reach the heady heights of his Hollywood star fiancee Millie Bobby Brown's.
The English actress became an internationally recognized child star on the smash hit Stranger Things.

Bongiovi struck up a friendship with Brown on Instagram where the pair bonded.
They were first spotted as a couple in June 2021 and they announced their engagement in April 2023.
At the time, Brown uploaded a black and white photo as Jake lovingly wrapped his arms around the actress from behind as she flashed the diamond engagement ring on her finger.
'I've loved you three summers now, honey, I want 'em all,' she wrote, referencing to lyrics from Taylor Swift's song titled, Lover.
Brown revealed to The Tonight Show the romantic Bongiovi had proposed to her underwater on holiday as the pair had bonded over their love for diving.
'He gives me a shell and I turn it over, and it's a ring,' she recalled. While underwater, she made an OK hand symbol to say yes to the proposal.
It's like, why wait? Let's go for it,' the bride-to-be told Glamour last month of young marriage.
'After meeting Jake and seeing, oh, I don't have to be this stereotypical wife for him. He doesn't want me to be that either. He wants me to go and do my thing and live my life, and he will hold my hand in the process of that. I was like, "Oh, I do want this."'
