Victoria Monét used her Instagram platform to talk about her struggle with polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) this week.
The 34-year-old singer — who brought daughter Hazel to the Grammys this year —shared a photo of herself performing at Coachella on her Instagram Stories and reflected on how the condition has affected her body.
'Welp.. I gained a lot of weight and it went a lot of places lol face, arms, tummy and most effectively… dat*ssss,' she wrote to her 1.8 million followers.
She wore a halter-neck bodysuit with chaps for the performance, singing her hit songs with an image of the moon projected behind her.
Making light of her physical changes, she added: 'I usually am so critical and frustrated by it because PCOS has me really messed up, but optimistically at least now there's two moons on the stage.'

Around one in 10 American women of childbearing age are diagnosed with PCOS and it affects how well the ovaries work, impacting fertility.
There are three main features of the condition: irregular ovulation, increased testosterone and small fluid-filled sacs that form on the ovaries.
It results in a range of symptoms including little or no periods, weight gain and excessive hair growth.
Despite the less than ideal effects, Monet did not let her health take away from enjoying her time at the annual festival.
She shared a collection of footage from the back-to-back weekends in Indio, California on her Instagram grid on Tuesday.
In the caption, she wrote, 'Damn Coachella. I loved you and you loved me right back Thank you so much!!!'
The grateful entertainer added, 'we had the time of our lives.'
The reel highlighted the rehearsals leading up to her shows as well as her live sets, and she soundtracked the post to her hit song On My Mama.

It comes after earlier this year, the mother-of-one shared a special night with her three-year-old daughter Hazel as they both attended the Grammys for the first time.
She told People back in December, 'It's a really big deal. I think it's another full-circle moment for me because during pregnancy, everything was really scary.
'People were telling me how bad of a career move it could be, how detrimental to everything it could be.'
Hazel was nominated for an award alongside her mother after her vocals appeared on her album Jaguar II.
Monet added about sharing the special moment with Hazel, 'Pregnancy, it's going into unknown territory and no one's story is the same. So, to have one of the more fearful moments career-wise turn into one of the best moments ever of my career is really magical. I'm honored to have the accolade for her.'
