Jon Bon Jovi got candid about his 35-year marriage to wife Dorothea Hurley on Good Morning America on Thursday - admitting that 'every day is a challenge' in their relationship, just days after confessing he 'hasn't been a saint' during their union.
When asked by GMA host Lara Spencer if he's ever given any relationship advice to his son Jake and his fiancée Millie Bobby Brown, the 62-year-old rocker joked: 'You don't think they're going to listen, do you?' before referring to his wife and saying: 'I mean, the magic for me has just been growing together with Dorothea.'
Jon, who married his high school sweetheart in Las Vegas back in 1989, continued: 'Every day is a challenge and change, but if you're growing together, hopefully things will work out.'
When Lara, 54, mentioned that 21-year-old Jake and Stranger Things actress Millie, 20, 'seem so happy', the It's My Life hitmaker replied: 'I'm aware. They're wonderful,' before confirming that they will be getting 'married in the near future'.

The rocker also confirmed that his son Jake and his fiancée Millie Bobby Brown will be 'getting married soon'
Jon's comments come after he divulged in a recent interview with the Independent that he hasn't always 'been a saint' in his marriage and praised Dorothea for her 'tolerance' of his demanding touring schedule with his band Bon Jovi.
'These are all the wonderful clichés of rock stardom,' he said. 'It's about never lying about having been a saint, but not being a fool enough to [mess] up the home life, either.'
The singer credited their long-lasting union to a 'mutual admiration society, and being lucky enough to have grown up together.'
The lovebirds share four children: Stephanie, 30; Jesse, 28; Jake; and Romeo, 19.
Previously, the Grammy winner told People that he 'was immediately drawn' to his wife 'the minute' he saw her.
'And that's never changed — 40 years ago,' he said in 2020.
'Having grown up together and grown together. And we really like each other. We want to hang out,' he told the outlet.
The couple originally met in 1980 while attending Sayreville War Memorial High School in New Jersey, where the Runaway singer confessed she let him 'cheat off her in history.'

'I always said I was good at spotting potential too. I have a gift,' Dorothea joked. 'He's cute. I'm shallow. I'll admit it!'
Jon added: 'We enjoy each other and we never fell for the trappings of what celebrity can do.
'We've witnessed that happen over the years to people that were close to us and people that we knew from afar,' he concluded. 'It's just what I do, it's not who I am. I write songs. I happen to be very good at performing them. That's it.'
Previously, he sang about regretting his past dalliances on the road in his 1993 track, Bed of Roses.
Back in 2007, Jon explained that due to his career he's had to miss 'tons of birthdays and school plays.'
'I've been in one of the biggest rock bands in the world for 25 years, and I'm not a saint, and I have not been a saint,' he told Best Life magazine, at the time. 'It's not like Dorothea came in halfway through the movie and didn't know who she got.'
