A YouTuber is lucky to be alive after crashing his paramotor when it flipped over and plummeted into the desert at 48mph.
Anthony Vella, 33, was testing a BGD Luna 3 in the Enchanted Rock State Park northwest of Austin, when it suddenly collapsed 85 to 100ft in the air.
He bravely shared the entire video of the crash and much of the half hour he spent lying on the ground in agony until paramedics reached his remote location.
Vella did not say in the intro to the footage, posted on Saturday, when the crash happened, but his previous video was posted eight days earlier.
The video began with him in his hospital bed where he is being treated for a fractured neck, back, and pelvis and a shattered right arm.
Anthony Vella suffered a fractured neck, back, and pelvis and a shattered right arm when his paramotor when it flipped over and plummeted into the desert at 48mph
He explained that the crash was due to him missing a small pension knot during his checks before taking off.
Applying brakes to a fully accelerated glider collapses it, and a tension knot snagging has the same effect.
Vella showed the crash from three different angles as he fell to Earth and immediately screamed in pain from his serious injuries.
''Help me please, I crashed my flying machine,' he told a dispatcher after desperately asking Siri to call 911.
A Good Samaritan arrived within two minutes of the crash and his friend two minutes later, who pulled the paramotor off him.
The first one later explained they were working nearby and said he saw him fall out of the sky and ran over after calling an ambulance.
However, they mostly spoke Spanish so Vella had to keep talking to dispatcher between screams of pain.
'Oh f**k my arm is totally snapped,' he said after examining himself.

The operator asked if he was bleeding or had any other injuries and he replied that he didn't think so, but couldn't see as he was wearing a thick jacket.
This would later turn out to be very wrong as he had numerous other injuries.
Eventually, one of the men who came to his aid was able to call his wife Leandra Vella, and he broke the news to her.
'The glider collapsed and my arm is snapped... I'm going to be fine, my love, don't worry,' he told her.
She replied, incredulously: 'What do you mean, don't worry?'
Leandra said she would get someone to look after their daughters and rush to where he was.

About 12 minutes after the crash, the man who stayed with him could see the ambulance in the distance, but it was having trouble getting to them.
The video then skipped to when paramedics arrived and he told them he thought he had been there about 30 minutes.
'I'm glad I didn't rupture my aorta,' he said.
As the paramedics asked about his condition and what happened, Leandra arrived and ran to his side in a panic.
The paramedics splinted his arm as he screamed in pain, and told him they would get him morphine as they lifted him on a stretcher.
'Considering you fell out of the sky, you're doing pretty good,' one of them said.

Vella explains he is about to test the paramotor as he suits up and prepares to fly
Vella promised to document his recovery and get back into the skies as soon as possible
Leandra profusely thanked the workers who ran to help him as the ambulance drove through the desert to hospital.
From his hospital bed, Vella said he didn't blame the paramotor as it was an excellent machine, and warned viewers to triple check their glider before taking off.
'All injuries listed required surgery. It has been the most challenging couple days for him but in true Anthony fashion, he continues to smile and make those around him laugh,' Leandra wrote in the description of the video.
'We have felt the love and support from all of you and will never be able to articulate just how much it means to him, me, and our family.
'Anthony is very excited to get back to his strong and active self.'
Vella promised to document his recovery and get back into the skies as soon as possible.
