Donald Trump tore into the annual dinner where journalists in Washington, D.C. gather with celebrities and White House staff for a night of comedy, awards and camaraderie.
The former president said the dinner this year, which aired live on C-SPAN, was 'really bad' and claims President Joe Biden's remarks were 'an absolute disaster.'
Trump, 77, has a long history with the White House Correspondents' Association dinner. He decided to skip the event when he was president and his relationship with mainstream media outlets and journalists soured.
In 2011, Trump attended the dinner and was famously roasted by then-President Barack Obama about his role on reality TV show The Apprentice. Many believe the incident helped contribute to Trump deciding to run for president in 2016.

On Saturday night, the former president's daughter-in-law Lara Trump, who is now co-chair of the Republican National Committee (RNC), attended as a guest of Politico.
'The White House Correspondents' Dinner was really bad,' Trump wrote on his Truth Social account.
'Colin Jost BOMBED, and Crooked Joe was an absolute disaster! Doesn't get much worse than this!' the former president added, referencing both the president and the Saturday Night Live comedian's remarks.
Biden took aim at Trump multiple times in his mostly-jestful remarks.
'The 2024 election is in full swing, and yes, age is an issue,' said Biden, 81. 'I'm a grown man running against a six-year-old.'
Meanwhile, Jost, who attended the dinner with actress wife Scarlett Johannson, roasted the president along with other politicians. He specifically brought up Lara, at one point.

He mentioned the cover songs she released last year.
'Lara Trump is here tonight,' the comedian said, to which one person was heard cheering and he responded: 'Ok, I got one 'woo'.'
'She recently released a cover of the song I Won't Back Down,' he continued. 'Upon hearing it, Tom Petty died again.'
'I can't believe I'm saying this to a member of the Trump family, but maybe stick to politics?'
