The University of Wisconsin chancellor, who was previously fired for creating X-rated videos with his wife and an assortment of porn stars, is still making his $90,000 salary from the state-funded institution.

Joe Gow, 64, was fired last year from his role as chancellor of the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse, but has retained his role as a communications professor.

Accordingly, his salary plummeted from more than $250,000 annually, to about $92,000.

Despite still technically being employed by the university, Gow is not currently allowed to set foot on campus as he remains on paid leave, according to the New York Post.

Later this year, he will be the subject of a hearing, which will determine whether or not he will be permitted to return to the classroom.

For now, however, he continues to collect his salary as an educator, and his secondary income as an X-rated content creator, who has reportedly continued pumping out content.

Gow's replacement has so far filed several charges against him for, among other things, failing to cooperate with an investigation into his conduct and using the school's computers to produce pornography.

'They want to fire me as a tenured faculty member. But what I do with my wife, on my own time using my own equipment, is none of their business,' he informed the Post.

Gow was terminated by the board of regents last year after it was discovered that he posts X-rated videos with his wife online under the name Sexy Happy Couple.

On X, formerly known as Twitter, Gow and his wife, Carmen Wilson, share photos of video clips from their cooking channel, where they frequently have adult video stars as guests. They also link to LoyalFans and OnlyFans for 'fully explicit scenes.'

'In recent days, we learned of specific conduct by Dr. Gow that has subjected the university to significant reputational harm. His actions were abhorrent,' said Universities of Wisconsin President Jay Rothman back in December.

Rothman filed a complaint to have Gow's tenured status reviewed and he was put on leave.

Rothman said the school has hired an outside law firm to investigate the matter.

'Dr. Joe Gow has shown a reckless disregard for the role he was entrusted with at UW-La Crosse to serve students, faculty and staff, and the campus community,' said UW System Regent President Karen Walsh.

'The outrage over his behavior is evidenced by the unanimous vote by the UW Board of Regents to terminate him as chancellor. We are alarmed, and disgusted, by his actions, which were wholly and undeniably inconsistent with his role as chancellor.'

Gow, who was La Crosse’s second-longest serving chancellor, told the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel his content is protected by free speech and no university property or funds were used to create them - though that claim is now being disputed by the school.

'There's nothing said about the University of Wisconsin; there's nothing said about the chancellor (on the videos). So someone else would have to make those associations. And then someone would have to say those are problematic,' said Gow.

In 2018, Gow was denied a pay raise after he paid porn star Nina Hartley $5,000 from his discretionary fund to speak at the La Crosse campus.

During the 90-minute address, Hartley told students it's acceptable to enjoy pornography, not enjoy it or be confused by it. She also stressed that pornography is fantasy.

Gow later apologized for the 'sensationalist' media attention Hartley's appearance had attracted and said he was naïve about the possibility that her profession would overwhelm her message. He also personally reimbursed the school for the $5,000.

The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reported Gow and Wilson have six videos on OnlyFans that feature adult film stars, according to descriptions of the videos.

The couple also appear on at least two other porn websites - PornHub and XHamster - where some of their videos have more than 200,000 views. All videos were posted relatively recently.

Gow and Wilson reportedly published two e-books about their adult content under pseudonyms and describe themselves as executives from well-known institutions in the country.

The works of literature were respectively titled, 'Monogamy with Benefits: How Porn Enriches Our Relationship,' and 'Married with Benefits — Our Real-Life Adult Industry Adventures.'

In one of the texts, the couple say they are, 'fairly certain a scandal would ensue if our peers were to know about what we’ve been doing.'

'We think our sex is beautiful and have no qualms at all about other people watching us make love. But our establishment colleagues likely would be shocked to watch us complete the full carnal process – particularly with professional porn stars – and we’re fairly certain we’d be shunned in our community.'

Now, Gow says their content is ethical, that 'nobody is cheating on any body,' and that the videos are examples of the pair 'enjoying our sex life openly and honestly.'

'We are in love, and we have fun together. People don’t understand it, and it makes them uncomfortable; that’s why they want me gone.'
