Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce will be paid a relatively small sum to host a spinoff of the game show 'Are You Smarter Than A Fifth Grader?'.
The football star was confirmed to be the host of the show just weeks ago, and that the deal to do so was struck long before he began a relationship with pop superstar Taylor Swift.
According to The Sun, Kelce's deal is good for two seasons and he'll earn $1.8million per season.
The Sun believes that will come out to about $750,000 per season after the IRS steps in for tax purposes.
Sources told the outlet, 'The deal is for two seasons and there's an option for the third and more if the money is good.'
Travis Kelce will take home about $750k a year for hosting Are You Smarter Than A Celebrity
'He is also working on being one of the producers of the show.'
Sun sources added, 'He could have commanded a lot more, but he doesn't care because he loves the show and is excited to host.'
Apparently, this isn't the only field where Kelce is being underpaid given his talents.
On an episode of the Million Dollaz Worth of Game podcast, former teammate Tyreek Hill estimated that the tight end was being paid 'at 14, 15 million' dollars per year.
'They're gonna be the highest paid. But obviously, they're gonna take friendly deals 'cause you know... [They want to] keep the team together,' Hill explained.
Kelce will be taking over the role formerly held by comedian Jeff Foxworthy when the show had its initial run on FOX from 2007 to 2009.
This won't be the first time that the show will be re-booted, as Foxworthy returned to host a revival version of the series in 2015.
In 2019, the show switched networks to Nickelodeon where it ran for one season while hosted by WWE superstar John Cena.

Kelce's re-boot will be aired on the paid streaming service Amazon Prime Video.
The new format will feature contestants facing off against a group of three celebrities, rather than the previous panel of children in grade school.
This, of course, won't be Kelce's first exposure to the world of television - having previously been subject of a dating show, 'Catching Kelce', and also hosting Saturday Night Live last year.
Since then, Kelce's life has been a whirlwind. His 'New Heights' podcast with brother Jason has become a smash hit and was even nominated for two Webby Awards.
On the field, he won back-to-back Super Bowls with the Kansas City Chiefs as they knocked off the San Francisco 49ers in overtime.
And of course, awaiting him on the field was his now-girlfriend, Taylor Swift.
The couple became the story surrounding the NFL last season and they still have managed to capture the spotlight in the offseason.
Travis and Taylor have remained close - going to various exotic locales like Singapore and The Bahamas - as they take some down time away from their busy jobs.
