Lauren Sanchez is set to make her Met Gala debut next week - with Anna Wintour 'personally helping' her select a dress because the Vogue editor thinks Jeff Bezos' fiancée has 'poor taste.'
Each year on the first Monday of May, Hollywood's most elite gather at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City for a dazzling ball that has been hailed by some as the biggest night of fashion.
Famously icy host Anna, 74, is known for being meticulous about who scores an invite to the coveted event, and according to reports, she wants Lauren, 54, to come on one condition - she gets a say in what she wears.
An insider told fashion journalist Amy O'Dell recently that Anna is working with Lauren to 'select her dress,' and that the pair is 'choosing between custom looks by Oscar de la Renta and two other designers.'

'Anna doesn't always get personally involved in what guests wear,' the reporter wrote, but added an insider said that the Vogue editor knows Lauren has 'poor taste.'
DailyMail.com has reached out to Lauren and Vogue for comment.
Lauren is known for wearing eye-popping and dramatic ensembles and, earlier this month, she turned heads when she attended a White House dinner with Jeff, 60, in a bright red, lace corset dress that left her curves on full display.

A few weeks before that, she donned a piercing fiery gown with an extremely low-cut neck line that showcased her stunning figure and ample cleavage.
An invite to the Met Gala, which was first reported by Page Six, makes sense, considering Lauren's recent rise from a budding TV star to a Hollywood 'It girl.'
Ever since her romance with Jeff was brought to light in 2019, the former journalist has been slowly becoming one of the most known faces on the globe - racking up a slew of celebrity friends, attending top events with her billionaire Amazon fiancé, and most recently, posing on the cover of Vogue magazine.
It's only natural that the world became fiercely fascinated with the woman who stole the heart of one of the richest men on the globe, especially since the couple was ultimately able to overcome an explosive cheating scandal and the accusations of blackmail and extortion that shrouded the start of their romance.
The once budding TV star soon became an immense star who spent her days dominating headlines while enjoying lavish getaways, private jet rides, dinner dates at the most sought-after restaurants in the world, designer shopping trips, yacht rides, and invites to parties amongst the top stars.

She and Jeff, who got engaged last May, recently moved from Seattle, Washington, to the lavish Indian Creek Island in Florida - which is famously known as 'Billionaire Bunker' thanks to its mega-rich residents.
The privately owned residential enclave has 41 waterfront homes owned by 36 property owners, according to the village's website.
Each mansion is built around the perimeter of the island to ensure that all residents have a waterfront view of Biscayne Bay.
In the middle sits the 'ultra-exclusive private membership' Indian Creek Country Club and an 18-hole golf course, perfect for a billionaire looking to unwind.
The island also has its own private 13-person police force for its roughly 85 residents and a 24-hour marine patrol to keep an eye on the water surrounding the village.
Jeff has purchased three mansions on the island, totaling a whopping $237 million.
