'I was just recently accused of stealing someone's cell phone on a flight,' the journalist shared.
'The woman was sitting in seat 1F, I was in 5C. I used the bathroom upfront that was right next to the cockpit, and I come out and the flight attendant is standing there with this little lady - she's really short, white, dirty blonde hair.
'She's like, "Did you see a phone in there?" I turn around and I said, "No, I didn't see anything."'
He said the woman then 'stepped towards him and gestured almost like she was about to frisk him.'
'She says, "Oh, you don't have it?" In front of the plane, [she] flat out accuses me of taking her phone,' he continued.
'At this point, she's a short lady, so I actually scooch - I crouch down, I put my hands on my knees and get down to her level, and I say, "Ma'am, are you telling me I took your phone?" And then she says, "Oh, no, but it was in there."'
T.J. recalled returning to his seat and telling Amy about what had happened.
'Oh you were mad,' she remembered.

'I had to be calm. If there weren't more people around, I don't think I would have bent down or would have been as assertive as I was,' he added.
'Because I wouldn't have a witness [to say] that I wasn't aggressive towards her or whatever it may be. But that was a wild flight experience.'
The couple said the flight attendant 'apologized profusely' and told them the lady had 'been difficult.'
'That's something only certain people would be exposed to,' Amy concluded.
