A therapist has revealed the three 'silliest' fights he has seen tear apart even the strongest romances - and why the small things make a big difference.

Jeff Guenther, from Portland, Oregon, has become a social media sensation on TikTok by regularly sharing his relationship expertise.

Most recently, the love expert took to the video-sharing platform to lift the lid on the things that may seem mundane but could be irking your partner.

In a now viral video, which has so far amassed 39,000 views, he detailed the three things that have put an end to love affairs - from TV shows to dating apps.

The small things make a difference! The three 'silly' things that could end your romance

  • Watching a show without them
  • Not deleting a dating app
  • Letting your ex continue using your Netflix account

He captioned the clip: 'Three "silly fights" that cut deep and can end a relationship!'

'Three silly fights that can cut deep and end a relationship because I have seen it people. Number one, agreeing to watch a show together and then one of you is like "f**k it, I'm bored, my babe isn't here so I'm going to watch an episode with out them."

'What the actual f**k? You agreed to go on the emotional and psychological journey with your sweetie but now you're skipping ahead without them? You absolute monster.

'Trust has been broken, betrayal has occurred.  Why did you agree to be in a relationship in the first place I might ask,' he said at the beginning of the video.

The second issues that the therapist sees tear lovebirds apart, is when one person refuses to get off a dating app, despite being exclusive.

Jeff noted that often people agree to only see each other and pause their dating profile - instead of deleting it.

'You can still message people you matched with in the past and can still interact in the app,' he added.

He explained that this 'goes against the spirit of your agreement.'

Jeff noted that you should 'set this last boundary and delete their account. '
