An adorable puppy named Rhoudy was left at a South Carolina shelter with a handmade card that is sure to tug at any dog lover's heartstrings.
The three-year-old dog was transferred to Greenville Humane Society on Tuesday - though it is unclear the reason why the pup was surrendered.
The card features a precious drawing of the black and white pup surrounded by little red hearts, and inside is a child's handwriting - with charming uneven letters.
'We love you Rhoudy,' the note reads. 'I will miss you, but your [sic] and I hope your people love you as much as I do.'
Emily Zheng, the Marketing Manager at the Greenville Humane Society told DailyMail.com: 'We don’t know why' he was surrendered.'

'He’s doing so good. He’s gone for lots of walks and has all of the toys you brought him in his bed. He’s being given so much love. Yes, he misses you. But he will always love you. Don’t you ever forget that, OK?
'And you were right in your letter. He is going home. He will find a person to love him just as much as you do. That’s a promise we will make to you. Just promise that you will always love him. Promise that you’ll always remember the happy times you had with him. Because those are so important.
