FC Cincinnati forward Aaron Boupendza had his jaw broken after being punched by pro boxer Quashawn Toler, it has been alleged.
On Thursday, Cincinnati announced that Boupendza would miss 6-8 weeks after suffering an 'off-field injury.'
And according to a police report obtained by The Athletic, it was Toler who caused the injury.
According to the report, Boupendza and Toler were at Cincinnati establishment Rusconi Bar & Kitchen around 2am when the incident occurred.
Boupendza, 27, was also suspended last fall by his club for this 'disciplinary reasons.'

Toler has a 17-2 record as a pro fighter.
Nonetheless, Cincinnati views Boupendza as the victim in this latest incident, according to The Athletic.
'The club hopes for his swift recovery and full recovery and we look forward to having him back on the field as soon as he's available,' FC Cincinnati said in an initial statement announcing his jaw injury.
