A flight attendant who has been in the industry for five years has revealed the most destructive things passengers have ever done on a plane.
Cher Killough, who is based in Dallas, regularly regales hilarious and illuminating insights from her line of work to her nearly 20,000 TikTok followers.
Her latest topic? Tackling 'the most heinous, evil, diabolical things you can do on the plane.'
First up: Cher warned against stowing a bottle of water with any amount of liquid up in the overhead bin.
Flight attendant Cher Killough, of Dallas, reveals insights from her job on her popular TikTok
As the latest subject she's tackled, Cher has delved into three 'heinous' things she's known passengers to do amidst their air travel
'Or any type of bottle that has liquid in it in the overhead bin,' she clarified.
'I think it's tempting to do this. If it's in like the outer pocket of your backpack, it's easy to throw it up there.
'But every single time, without fail, that water bottle - as soon as we take off - is going to leak all inside the bin.
'Not only does that soak everybody else's bags, but the water always picks one person, and it will follow a stream, and completely dump out of the bin onto one person.'
Second: boarding the plane when one is feeling unwell, especially if the symptoms are impacting one's digestive fortitude.
'I see it all the time where somebody gets on board knowing that they're not feeling well,' she said, adding that standard 'motion sickness' wasn't what she was talking about.
'And as soon as we hit altitude, they feel so much worse and they're vomiting uncontrollably or other things are coming out of them uncontrollably.'
One time, a man who was clearly already ill getting on the plane puked in the worst place possible.
She took aim at passengers who put bottles with liquid up in the overhead bin, as well as certain men with bad 'aim' who would attempt to use the bathroom during turbulence
Additionally, Cher made the case for delaying a trip if you've fallen ill, especially with something that impacts your digestive system
'A guy came to the back, he leaned over the service cart and vomited onto the service cart,' Cher recalled.
'He flew knowing that he was sick before that - and then now nobody gets food or drink during the flight because it's covered in some man's vomit,' she described of one particularly disgusting ordeal.
'We are there to care for you if you're sick. But it's a better idea for your safety, wellness and the comfort of everyone around you and on the flight - and your flight attendants - if you choose take a later flight when you feel better.'
The third and last thing Cher flagged applied specifically to men and their bathroom habits.
'Last on evil things you can do is go to the bathroom during turbulence as a man,' she explained.
'First of all, it's not safe - but that's not even what I'm talking about.'
'I don't trust your aim on a normal day - and I really don't trust your aim when the plane is rocking back and forth,' she elaborated, referring to how men urinate.
'And this is why I say that the toilet paper rolls are the most disgusting thing on the plane,' she added, prompting an upsetting mental image of why seemingly unused toilet paper might appear to have wet spots.
Of the dozens of comments on Cher's video, many pointed out that the solutions for preventing some of these issues would be on the airlines to solve.
Of the dozens of commenters, many pushed back on the flight attendant's list
'They need to make the seat back pocket expand enough to fit a water bottle. 40 oz size,' one argued.
Many specifically took issue with Cher's point about not boarding a plane if you get sick - with many bringing up that they don't want to lose out on the cost of the fare.
'2 is 100% on the airline. if I lose the entire value of my ticket when I am sick I am going to fly regardless,' one griped.
'Some people aren't able to reschedule a flight etc,' a second echoed.
'I was coming back from Disney land and had gotten sick before leaving. I was 18 and couldn't afford to reschedule my trip, but I wish I could. I was so miserable,' a third recalled.
As to the third point, many took Cher's warning of the unsanitary toilet paper situation to heart.
'Definitely packing my own TP (toilet paper) next time I fly,' one wrote.
'Toilet paper roll! I hadn't thought of that!,' another horrified individual declared.
