An irate Denver Nuggets head coach Michael Malone was caught screaming in the face of referee Marc Davis - on a night where his team went down 2-0 in their series against the Minnesota Timberwolves.

In the first quarter, Minnesota guard Anthony Edwards drove into the lane and drew contact with a Nuggets defender in the lane. Davis didn't call a foul on either team, much to the dismay of each side.

But Malone was outraged, walking out onto the court screaming at Davis and getting up in his face as he berated the official for his decision.

Shockingly, Malone did not receive a technical foul for his anger as he walked back to the bench fuming.

He'd have much more to worry about later in the evening as his Nuggets ended up getting blown out 106-80 by Minnesota.

As for the Timberwolves, this is the first time in franchise history that they took a 2-0 lead in consecutive playoff series'.

Minnesota were led by fantastic 27 point performances from guard Anthony Edwards and center Karl-Anthony Towns. Edwards even received 'M-V-P' chants in the Nuggets' own arena.

Meanwhile, the Nuggets' two stars - Nikola Jokic and Jamal Murray - were held to a combined 8-31 shooting line on the night.

Denver was led by Aaron Gordon in scoring with 20 points on the evening.
