The Golden Bachelor's Gerry Turner and Theresa Nist's marriage breakdown reportedly came about over a disagreement about cornfields.
Three months after their dream TV wedding, Gerry and Theresa confirmed their split on Good Morning America in April.
But now The Bachelor alum Ben Higgins has shed more light on The Golden Bachelor stars' breakup, saying the pair decided to call it quits after a disagreement about cornfields.
On Monday's episode of the Almost Famous podcast with Ashley Iaconetti, cohost Ben spoke about a 'rumor' he had heard about Gerry, 72, and 70-year-old Theresa's separation.

'I want to be clear that as I preface this, this is a rumor of a generalization of a conversation that Gerry and Theresa had, and I think you're gonna find it interesting,' The Bachelor alum said on the podcast.
Ben explained the possible relationship-ending argument had come up when Theresa went to visit Gerry in Indiana, and they drove back to his lake house.
Allegedly, Theresa said something to upset Gerry during the two-hour drive to the house, which led to a further conversation about their values.
Ben alleged Theresa said: 'Wow, look at all this beautiful untouched land. Think about what could be done if they developed it. Condos, office buildings, apartments.'
The Bachelor alum said Theresa continued, saying: 'Think about the towns that could congregate in these open fields and think about the people that would be interested in moving here.'
'And look at that lake. There's a lake with only cornfields around it. Think about if they build up a resort where people could vacation to,' he parroted what Theresa apparently said.
According to Ben, Gerry's rumored response was: 'You don't take land from a farmer.'
The Bachelor star then went on to say: 'This was a big start to them disagreeing on how they saw the world and what they imagined for the world and how they wanted to invest into the world.'

Late last year, Gerry's wholesome image started to crack after he found himself engulfed in scandal when a report unearthed a secret past
The couple announced the news of their split during an interview on Good Morning America this morning, when they opened up about the reasons for their shock separation
Although the podcast hosts stressed it was all rumors, their guest, season 19 Bachelor alum Chris Soules, who is a farmer himself, chimed in saying he could see how the argument would gave played out on both sides.
'There's areas that would benefit from development and economically, it makes sense. But there's a ton of land out there, farmers have plenty of land to farm, and sometimes there's some misconceptions that, maybe, there's a shortage, but they're not making any more new land, so there's that,' he explained.
'But that doesn't seem like something that should interfere in a fundamental breakup of a relationship, I would say. I think there's a happy medium that we can all live with. … I don't think that should have resulted in [a breakup], but you, to each their own, I guess.'
DailyMail.com has reached out to Gerry and Theresa's representatives for comment.
Gerry initially pulled on the hearts of millions as he was presented as a loving retired restaurateur who had not had a single date since his wife of 45 years suddenly passed away from an infection in 2017.
However, late last year his wholesome image started to crack after he found himself engulfed in scandal when a report by The Hollywood Reporter unearthed a secret past that included a three-year relationship following the death of his wife.
It also alleged that the woman he was in a relationship with claimed she was dumped because she gained 10 pounds - in a move that did not match his onscreen persona.
