Last night's Met Gala brought fashion fanatics a whimsical, over-the-top and star-studded event - but while you were likely admiring and judging the red carpet looks in equal measure, there are some wild details that may have gone unnoticed.
The A-list affair is an annual fundraiser for the Metropolitan Museum of Art's Costume Institute in Manhattan, led by Vogue's editor-in-chief Anna Wintour since 1995.
This year's theme was Sleeping Beauties: Reawakening Fashion, and the official dress code was Garden of Time.
And, while some celebrities stunned in their extravagant and exaggerated outfits, others featured more understated details in their ensembles.
Here, FEMAIL has broken it all down for fashion devotees - from poetry hidden in a suit jacket to bugs tucked in updos.

South African singer Tyla, the hitmaker behind the viral song Water, wowed in a custom Balmain dress made of real sand, and carried a small hourglass clutch by the brand to match.
The unusual accessory was filled with light-colored particles, and matched the hourglass shape of her dress, which featured a tightly-fitted bodice and a mermaid-style train.
Her dress was made with three different colors of sand, as well as tiny, micro crystal studs, according to Vogue, and was molded to her body by the designers.

Her dress was so difficult to move around in that she had to be lifted up onto the steps of the Met
To complete the look, her cropped locks were gelled into a short, slick-back look to give a wet effect.
'I'm wearing sand, basically, the sands of time,' the star told La La Anthony during Vogue's live stream, per TODAY.

It was the star's very first Met Gala.
Star Camila Cabello went for quite an icy look - literally holding a block of ice with a single, dark-colored rose encased inside of it as her clutch bag for the evening.
Eventually, it melted, and she was left to hold just the rose.
The Havana hitmaker was dressed by Ludovic de Saint Sernin, and wore a sultry lace-up dress with a deep V-neck and slit in the leg made entirely out of Swarovski crystals.
At the bottom, the dress descended into delicate rips.
