Anti-woke US commentator Matt Walsh has unleashed on Australia, labelling it 'the weakest, wokest, lamest country on Earth'.

Political activist Matt Walsh said his views on Australia and its people had changed for the worse in recent years.

His comments come after he watched reality survival program Alone Australia, which he described as 'unintentionally the funniest thing on TV right now'.

'I'm sure there are great people in Australia, but my opinion of Australians has just plummeted,' he said.

During the pandemic, Walsh was critical of Covid lockdowns and vaccine mandates, which were strictly imposed across Australia.

Walsh, who shot to fame with his documentary What is a Woman which attacked the  transgender industry, said the Alone program confirmed his fears about Australia.

'Before Covid, I thought that Australia was, first of all, an absolute hellscape where poisonous spiders rained from the sky. That part is true,' he said.

'But then I further thought that because of that, anyone who lives there would have to be the toughest sons of bitches on the planet.

'I really thought that. I thought it was a whole country of Steve Irwins.

'From Covid, and now ending with (Alone Australia), I thought how is Australia the weakest, wokest, lamest country on Earth?

'How is that possible?'

Alone Australia is a survival competition series based on the hit US version.

'Ten Australians are dropped off alone in separate areas of remote wilderness where they must deal with the forces of nature, hunger and loneliness,' the SBS promotion for the show said.

Walsh wrote that he and his wife enjoy watching the US version of Alone which 'features gritty, skilled survivalists'.

'We just found out there's an Australian version and started watching. Unintentionally the funniest thing on TV right now. It’s basically "Alone: DEI Edition".'

'DEI' is an acronym for 'diversity, equity and inclusion'.

Walsh wrote that Alone Australia ticks all the diversity boxes by including two lesbians and two Indigenous people.

'Ten contestants. Two are lesbians. Two claim to be Indigenous. One of the lesbians dropped out after one night.

'One of the Indigenous guys made a big show about being in touch with nature etc and then cried and dropped out after one night.'

The conservative commentator mocked a 'Gen Z environmentalist guy' who asked for a medical evacuation after testing positive for Covid-19.

He also targeted 'a complete white guy who keeps talking about how indigenous he is' but whose lack of knowledge of fauna resulted in him eating a 'toxic millipede'.

'The American version features gritty, skilled survivalists.

'The Australian version was more worried about checking diversity boxes so the contestants are totally clueless, incompetent, and just crying through the whole thing,' Walsh wrote.

He said Alone Australia was 'Very funny stuff. And a great cautionary tale. Highly recommend.

'They apparently sent the contestants out into the wilderness with Covid tests. And they start each episode with a land acknowledgment.

'Plus they have a bunch of woke environmental regulations that prohibit them from hunting pretty much any game. Like I said, it's hilarious.'

Walsh's new video has got several hundred comments already, with one poster talking about their own experiences of the show.

'Being a survival enthusiast, I started the application process for this show, but as soon as I realized that they were promoting DEI in the contestants, I didn't proceed.

'There were more questions about sexuality and gender identity than there were about outdoor skills.'

Another wrote that Crocodile Dundee actor Paul Hogan 'seriously gave millions of Americans the wrong impression of Aussies'.

'The vast majority of them are nothing like that. Renowned wilderness connoisseurs like Steve Irwin are about as common as they are here in the states,' they said.

'However, what was retained when I visited Australia in 2009 and 2013 was their sense of humor and affinity of alcohol. But this was before they were infected with wokeism.'
