Critically-injured survivors lying on the ground, a man staggering as he's barely able to stand, and crew members tending to another with a head wound - while two wrecked vehicles are strewn across in the muddy ruts they landed after spinning off the roadway and flipping at 50mph.

These are the chaotic scenes from the immediate aftermath of a car accident on the set of a new Eddie Murphy film, revealed for the first time by police bodycam footage exclusively obtained by DailyMail.com.

The graphic clips from three sheriff's deputies show the devastation at a small Georgia airfield after a stunt went horrifically wrong during filming of action comedy The Pickup, also starring Eva Longoria, Pete Davidson and Keke Palmer.

Eight production crew members were injured when a black BMW X5 and a red GMC C6 armored truck got caught up as they drove alongside for the sequence involving a PIT (precision immobilization technique) maneuver - a law enforcement tactic to nudge a vehicle at speed and safely spin it to a halt.

Two people – special effects expert Wayne Rowe, 50, and grip Marvin Haven, 51 – suffered life-threatening back injuries and a third is also believed to have been seriously hurt.

In one clip obtained by the Douglas County Sheriff's Office, sequence director Andrew Ward can be heard on the phone with a colleague explaining: 'We were doing a PIT maneuver on the runway, controlled speed 45 to 50 mph.

'Basically it was … the front right tire of the armored truck against the back tire of the BMW.'

The director continued: 'Everybody's conscious but two went on spine boards.

'The situation's managed and under control right now. I'll deal with what we have in front of us and go back and assess what could have gone wrong.'

Ward can be seen explaining what went wrong when asked by Sheriff's Deputy Mason Bell who responded to the scene.

The director says: 'So basically we were doing a controlled stunt which is called a PIT maneuver and it just didn't go right.

Bell: 'So were they PITing the BMW?'

Ward: 'Yeah, it got hung up and it all went around.' Pointing to the truck, he adds: 'That rolled.'

Meanwhile, DailyMail.com can reveal the names, some partial, of all the crash victims.

Amid an almost post-battle backdrop of men sitting dazed, crudely bandaged, wandering and others clearly in a serious condition, Ward calmly reeled off the IDs and jobs of the crash survivors to Deputy Bell.

The horror happened early evening on April 20 at private Stockmar Airport in Villa Rica, about 35 miles from downtown Atlanta.

With flashing lights from emergency vehicles beginning to illuminate the oncoming twilight, the director reveals the truck was driven by Keith Adams.

Adams is an experienced stunt driver and actor whose credits include 2015 movie Mad Max: Fury Road, Kill Bill: Volume 2, and 2016 action thriller Jason Bourne, according to IMDB.

Ward, wearing a pale blue shirt and a Panama hat, also explains where everyone was sitting.

According to Georgia State Patrol, two people were thrown from the vehicle when it rolled over, but their identities have not been confirmed.

'Passenger was a guy called Kyle, behind him would have been the camera operator looking over his shoulders, his name is Hugh,' says Ward.

'To the left of the camera operator would have been the focus puller, his name is Matt.

'To the right of the camera operator, Marvin (Haven), the grip would have been in there. And behind Marvin would have been two special effects guys, Kyle and then Wayne (Rowe). Put Kyle special effects.'

At that point the Kyle who was the front seat passenger walks up and reveals his last name is Austin.

Deputy Bell asks him: 'You good man?' However, Austin's reply is redacted from the tape, apparently indicating he isn't.

Irish-born Ward, 52, is listed in IMDB as an assistant director known for working on many movies and TV shows, including Saving Private Ryan, The Last Samurai, The Wedding Crashers, and Ted.

He continues to tell Bell: 'Everyone was wearing a safety harness. Or supposedly.' Mimicking sideways movement, he added: 'They would've got knocked around.'

In front of the director as he's speaking, a group of men anxiously huddle over someone lying still on the ground, near the back of the truck.

Deputy Bell courteously asks Ward the name of the severely injured man, saying: 'I hate to ask this, who's the guy laying right here. Is that Hugh?'

Ward replies: 'That's Kyle, special effects.'

The driver of the badly crumpled BMW – it's hazard lights still flashing and footage showing a female crash dummy dressed in purple eerily still in the passenger seat – was California native Jef Groff.

He is also an experienced stunt driver who worked on 2017 film The Fate of the Furious, starring Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson and Jason Statham, and The Spy, starring Melissa McCarthy and Rose Byrne, according to IMDB.

Bell's camera footage starts looking directly at the crashed vehicles as he explains to another officer: 'They've been PITing all day, they've been PITing the BMW.'

Pointing to the truck he continues: 'That's what they got ejected out of and then the people in the back of the thing, they got f***ed up too.'

Bell moves around the scene, his camera picking up images of the stunned survivors amid the wreckage.

He approaches a sitting man in blue overalls, his head roughly bandaged as he's helped by other crew. This is the armored truck driver and Georgia native Adams.

The stuntman looks stunned as he's approached. But Bell reassures him: 'Everybody's going to be OK. You're going to be all right man, keep your head up.'

He then approaches BMW driver Groff and also offers reassurance after taking his details, saying: 'OK man, keep your head up. It's going to be OK.'

He returns to his vehicle then the scene, where his camera picks up the man identified by Ward as special effects expert Kyle lying on the ground – and emergency services surrounding a man on a stretcher close to the right side of the truck.

Lt Joshua Lipscomb's bodycam video begins just before medics arrive.

The footage shows a dazed man sitting in the back of the truck, while BMW driver Groff and three others attend a severely injured but unidentified survivor on the ground just below the truck's rear steps.

Someone can be heard saying: 'We had an accident, we had a little tumble.'

Deputy Bell is seen shaking his head and telling Lipscomb: 'They're f***ed up bad.'

Eddie Murphy, 63, was not on the set during the accident, nor were the other main stars of the movie, the plot of which has been kept under close wraps.

Production was temporarily suspended as a result of the accident, which saw five people taken to Atlanta's Grady Memorial Hospital and three others admitted to WellStar Cobb Medical Center in Austell for treatment.

Fundraisers have been launched to pay for medical bills for dolly grip operator Marvin Haven who suffered broken ribs, multiple neck and back fractures, a shattered scapula, a punctured lung and a skull fracture, according to his GoFundMe campaign.

The experienced film worker, who lives with wife Melissa, 48, in a rural setting relatively near the film location, was taken into ICU.

The author of the fund page, which has so far raised $124,389 or a $250,000 target, wrote: 'We are so grateful and blessed that our beloved friend is still alive, but his road to recovery will undoubtedly be long, difficult, and faced with unimaginable challenges.

'Marvin needs your support now, more than ever, during this difficult time. Your donations, no matter how big or small, will make a world of difference to ease the financial strain to help Marvin and his wife Melissa, focus on the love, care, and mindset needed to heal on the long road of recovery that lies ahead of them.

'To know Marvin, is to know that he loves his work as a Dolly Grip and has been perfecting his craft for over 26 years. It is heartbreaking to know that he may never get to go back and do what he loves.

'When Marvin wasn't working, he loved to live life with passion. Fiercely devoted to his beautiful wife Melissa, and all his family and friends. He loves traveling, fishing, and is a dedicated 49'ers fan!

'Marvin is a deeply spiritual and determined man, we have faith that he will someday return to the strong, thriving, compassionate, bright light that we all know and love.

'We would be so grateful for your financial contribution, as well as, all the love, light, and healing energy that you can send his way.'

Special effects expert Rowe, 50, also suffered a back fracture, his wife Lorena, 54, wrote on a GoFundMe for his medical expenses. So far it has raised $34,245 of a $50,000 target.

The couple live in Athol, Idaho. Lorena wrote: 'Wayne's injuries are extensive, including multiple fractures to his L1 vertebra, a broken wrist that requires surgery, and a significant head laceration.

'It is nothing short of a miracle that he survived, and while we are profoundly grateful for his life, the journey ahead towards recovery is daunting and filled with challenges.

'As Wayne's wife, witnessing his strength during this time has been both heartbreaking and inspiring.

'However, the financial pressures of medical expenses, ongoing care, and the potential for future surgeries are overwhelming for us. We need your support now more than ever to help alleviate these burdens so that Wayne can focus on healing without the stress of financial strain.'

Both Lorena and Melissa refused to comment when approached by DailyMail.com.

The movie, which bean production in April, will be released by Amazon MGM Studios.

'Unfortunately, the sequence did not go as planned and several members of the crew were injured as a result,' said a spokesperson after the accident.

'We are still in the process of gathering facts on what happened and why, but first and foremost our thoughts are with those who are recovering.

'The well-being of the entire crew and cast is our first priority and we will continue to insist on the highest standards of safety while filming. All safety precautions were reviewed prior to and monitored during the shoot.'
