Ric Flair broke his silence the day after nearly fighting a manager at a pizza joint in Gainsville, Florida.
On Tuesday, the 75-year-old WWE icon was filmed in a heated verbal exchange with a manager at Piesanos Stone Fired Pizza. The three-minute clip posted by TMZ showed Flair referring to the manager as a 'd***head' and calling him a 'dips***' in front of his employees.
The following morning, Nature Boy joined The MJ Morning Show on Q105 and explained how his emotions got the best of him in the incident.
'It just escalated, and I was wrong for getting mad, but I kind of felt like I was defending my position,' Flair said.
'I was wrong for losing my temper,' he added. 'When I feel like I'm put in that area where I'm uncomfortable and all of a sudden everything just fell apart, I got upset.'

As the altercation heated up, a patron sitting at the bar came to the manager's aid, threatening Flair physically.
'Come outside here and talk to me like a man,' Flair told the manager before another man interrupted and told Flair: 'Hey, you wanna go have a talk with me in the parking lot? Cause I don't work here. I don't give a s**t.'
'What'd you say to me? What'd you say to me?' Flair responded after the bystander stood up for the manager, who tried his best to stay composed amid the verbal assault.
While the incident, fortunately, did not escalate, Flair took to Instagram and ripped the establishment after his experience.
'I Spent $1500 At [Piesano's] To Be Disrespected More Than I Ever Have In My Entire Life,' Flair wrote. 'After Taking 20 Pictures With Customers And Staff, I Was Asked To Leave Because Of An Issue I Had With The Kitchen Manager Taking Too Long In The Bathroom.'
'I Would Highly Recommend That Anyone Who Wants To Enjoy A Relaxing Time In Gainesville At A Nice Restaurant To Never Visit This Place! WOOOOO!'

On Wednesday, Flair admitted that he ordered more food from Piesanos after the incident
However, a cooled-down version of Nature Boy backtracked on his statement on Wednesday, saying: 'I was wrong for getting upset. I probably just should have just walked out the door, but it caught me so off-guard because we were having a wonderful time.
'Then, all of a sudden, someone in their kitchen said I did something wrong in the bathroom, and there's no one there except me and him.'
Additionally, Flair admitted to ordering more food from Piesanos hours after getting in the heated spat.
'I ordered foot to-go from Piesaons at 6 o'clock, and they delivered it,' Flair said. 'I ordered [through] UberEats. They actually have great food.'
'I've never, in my entire life, had an experience like this, isn't that funny?' Flair reflected. 'Over something that happened in the bathroom, which nobody would know about.'
