TikTok sensation Dr. Kimberley Nix has tragically passed away at the age of 31 - after she announced her own death in a video posted on social media.
In a clip shared to the video-sharing platform, Kimberley shared that her 'journey here was over,' as she broke the devastating news to viewers herself and reassured them that she was 'at peace' with where she was.
She told her more than 137,000 fans that if they were 'seeing' the heartbreaking clip, that she had 'passed,' before sharing that they had made her 'so happy.'
According to an online obituary, Kimberley died on May 8 in Calgary, Alberta.
Kimberley was diagnosed with metastatic sarcoma, which is known as cell cancer, at just 28 years old, and she was finishing up her final year of her internal medicine core residency when she got the diagnosis.

She captioned the viral video, which has so far amassed more than 5.1 million views, 'My journey here is over and I can't thank each and every one of you enough. You have all made me so happy and your comments and support are more than enough to have gotten anyone through anything!

At the beginning of the clip, while donning a red shirt, Kimberley said: 'Hello followers, if you're seeing this clip, I have passed away peacefully. '
Holding back tears, the social media icon introduced herself as 'Kim' to those who 'don't know me.'
She added that she had a 'very beautiful life' that she was 'so proud' of.
'Those who know me, know I love my pets, my husband, and makeup. And though being a doctor is a big part of my identity, those are the things that matter,' she said during the heartbreaking clip.
'So get ready with me one last time.'
Kim went on to note that in 2021 she got the 'opportunity to start making TikTok videos,' admitting that she 'never thought anything would come of it.'

'I have become an advocate and a champion. I have worked with several organizations to try to raise more awareness.'
Kimberley explained that to get to know her followers better, she shared her own journey.

She added: 'I shared about love, joy, and gratitude because in this journey, I was grateful for the people and the little moments.

'Those little parts of your day, like that warm first sip of tea in the morning or how it feels when snow is fresh on your face, those are the most beautiful [moments].'
The 31-year-old then listed off the various items she was able to check off her 'bucket list' before she tragically passed away.
'I got to get engaged, get married, I went to New York City, and it was like Gossip Girl. I was dining at Michelin star restaurants, which was so cool. I also went to Broadway, which was a dream of mine,' she said as she brushed makeup on her face.
Kimberley gushed about going to the 'mountains, San Francisco, and a winery.'
Referring to her time before she was diagnosed, Kimberley added: 'In my previous years, I had already lived life to the fullest. I had done things that people never get to do.'
She then thanked everyone who had been 'so supportive' including her husband, her family, and her friends.
After being diagnosed, the TikTok star decided to share her journey online to help inspire others in similar situations.

'That support is just so wonderful. I have also had the most beautiful friends offline, who have been everything to me.
'And when I think about life and the meaning of life, I think about how I'm at peace with where I am. It's because those things are just so much to be grateful for. The real thing that is huge in life is enjoying the small things,' she said.
The TikTok sensation then took a moment to thank all of her fans who had been following her health journey online.
'I want to first thank the TikTok community for being so supportive of everything that I have been through and for being so generous,' she said.
Kimberley then begged her followers to stop buying and sending gifts to her because she would be 'gone' by the time they were watching the video.
She told viewers to go follow her husband and 'love of [her] life,' who would begin posting after he was out of the 'acute phases' of grief.
The TikTok star then broke down in tears as she began recalling her time with her husband, adding that he was her 'most beautiful love.'
'My only sadness about dying is that we won't get to grow old together. Everything else, is totally bearable. That is the only thing that really matters,' she said.

She previously spoke to People about her health obstacles.
Kimberley told the outlet: 'I only have one thing in my life that is tough or hard right now. Yes, it is serious, but [it's] just one thing.
'Life is so much more. It's friends, family, pets, your career, the perfect temperature first sip of tea, the beautiful snow-tipped mountains.
'So many people go through so much more with so much less to be thankful for.
'Seeing the beautiful parts of life each day helps me stay grounded and focused on what's most important to me, and keep pressing forward with more treatment.'
Kimberley is survived by her husband, Michael, who she wed in February.
