A millennial has revealed the surprising quirk most people in her generation share - and it's worlds apart from Gen Z's 'normal'.

Jennie Longdon, from the UK, demanded to know why millennials were unable to make 'big' purchases on their phones.

The radio presenter revealed she was fine with buying takeaway, clothes, and shoes on her phone - but that's where the list ends.

'A plane ticket? On your phone?' Jennie pretended to gag. 'That's a laptop job. You can't book a holiday on your phone!'

She added in her video, 'For big purchase, we have to get the laptop out. Why are we like this? I don't know. We cannot make a big or significant purchase on the phone. You can't browse properly.'

'Big purchases' include expensive items or experiences like a refrigerator, a washing machine, or a holiday.

Many millennials felt the same way.

'Big purchase requires the big internet,' one joked.

'I will literally look at the information on my phone, then go get my laptop to go to the same site to book it,' another laughed.

Another woman revealed, 'I had to buy a new laptop so that I could look at new cars online!'

One revealed a horror story about trying to book a holiday on her phone.

'I booked a mini break on my phone once and I accidentally refreshed the page with my thumb midway through booking,' she said.

'The hotel rang me that night and asked where I was. The form had refreshed and reverted back to today's date! And I wasn't entitled to a refund. Never again, always a laptop or desktop from now on.'

While said even a laptop isn't 'big enough' for her.

'Laptop... nope. That's a desktop job! I need a proper keyboard and a big screen if I'm booking anything! And I screenshot everything in case there's no email receipt.'

But not everyone agreed with Jennie.

'I'm 38-years-old and I've booked all my holidays on my phone! haven't opened a laptop outside of work for years,' one said.

'My partner bought our house all on his phone,' another revealed.

'I booked flights, accommodation, and extracurriculars for four people on my phone recently,' a mum said. 'I was so proud.'
