A TikTok user who is a self-proclaimed Trader Joe's employee spilled the tea on what she has learned while working at the grocery store chain.

Anabel (@puranegrita) posted a TikTok video slideshow on May 2 that included photos of her and a co-worker, along with little things she picked up on while working at Trader Joe's.

One of the notable slides included a common faux pas that Trader Joe's employees will judge shoppers for: not bagging their own groceries.

'Crew members are NOT flirting with you. We ARE judging you for not bagging your groceries or putting your cart back,' Anabel wrote in her second slide.

Her slideshow has since become her most-watched TikTok video, and it has received nearly 900,000 views.

Anabel did not specify which Trader Joe's store she works at, but she did reveal in her video description that the job involves '90 percent lifting outrageously heavy boxes & 10 percent “trying” the merchandise.'

The TikToker didn't hold back on the other Trader Joe's secrets she learned, but her insights were not nearly as judgmental as the one featured in her first slide.

Anabel referred to the fall items sold at Trader Joe's as 'the bane of our existence' beginning in September.

If fall items aren't for a customer, then they can quickly return them to Trader Joe's since Anabel wrote that consumers 'can return pretty much anything for any reason.'

According to the Trader Joe's employee, workers either throw the items away or donate them to a local shelter.

One item that consumers may hope to keep fresh and not return is flowers, which customers can purchase at any Trader Joe's location.

Anabel's secret to keeping flowers extra fresh is to request a bucket of water when purchasing them.

For customers who are looking to try an item out first before purchasing it, they can try 'anything at the demo station' before making a purchase.

Anabel also explained that she and her co-workers will occasionally walk away to the back room for the sake of bringing joy to the store's customers by making sure nothing is out stock.

'There's a morning truck for all the perishables, and there's a night truck for frozen and shelf stable stuff. We stock all the time, so if it's completely out and we go to the back, it's just to make you feel better,' she wrote in her final slide.

Anabel provided even more Trader Joe's knowledge in a second TikTok video that she posted on May 9.

In her video description, she joked that she 'just clocked in for the tastings in the back,' but not before she requested that customers clean their reusable bags.

The employee revealed that she and her Trader Joe's coworkers 'definitely understand' when someone drops a product off the shelf.

Anabel wrote that employees 'don't care' if customers accidentally make a mess of their shelves, but she did hint that workers would like 'personal space.'

When someone is looking through the items, however, it's best to check if the tags are flipped over since it determines whether the product is 'temporarily out of stock' or not.

'If you're hurt over a product being discontinued, WE ARE TOO. I'll never get over the mango sorbet being gone,' she added.

Anabel also hinted that not all Trader Joe's locations have an alcohol section and that consumers should 'cherish those prices' if there is one.

Customers should also remember that 'produce is sold by the quantity, not by weight.'

'These produce codes work for all produce in the US, but of course, other other stores have different specifications,' Anabel shared.

Anyone hoping to get those fresh flowers should also be advised that Anabel and other Trader Joe's employees are 'judging and anticipating' customers flocking to the flower section on Mother's Day and Valentine's Day.

However, unlike the first video, Anabel revealed more tips about the employees rather than the store's customers.

'We're all so happy because we get free food and our coworkers are the best-est,' she wrote in her seventh slide.

'We meet all types of customers, so we highly appreciate nice human interactions.'

She also brought up the importance of a good review and how it can truly go a long way for a Trader Joe's employee.

'We're trained to ask about your experience in the store, but we're encouraged to be ourselves at the register,' Anabel wrote in her final slide.

'If you liked a certain crew member interaction, send in a compliment on the website. It'll help a lot.'

Although Anabel created more than one slide, TikTok users who watched her first video could not stop commenting on her writing about the grocery bag issue.

'Can you explain how we are expected to bag out own items? Should I slap the cashier's hand next time and do it myself?,' a TikToker commented on Anabel's first video.

One TikToker who wrote a comment about the grocery bag statement claimed to be a former Trader Joe's employee and that there was no rule about custoimers bagging thewir own items.

'You are not supposed to bag your own groceries at Trader Joe's,' the former employee wrote.

Anabel responded to some of the easy going comments on her second video and even wrote that her work supplies 'cookies or cheese and crackers' for employees at the Trader Joe's where she works.
