Americans overwhelmingly want Congress to investigate whether the wave of prosecutions against Donald Trump amount to interference in the 2024 presidential race, a new poll shows.
The DailyMail.com/TIPP survey shows that 59 percent of people want lawmakers to probe what was behind the wave of multiple cases against the Republican candidate.
Another 29 percent of respondents said they were against any such investigation, and 11 percent said they were not sure.
The survey of more than 1,400 US adults comes as Trump's fixer-turned-foe Michael Cohen gives evidence against his former boss in his hush money payments trial in New York City.

The results show broader-than-expected public support for Trump's claim that he's enduring a 'witch hunt' masterminded by President Joe Biden and other rivals.
'This trial is rigged, it's dishonest,' Trump said outside his Manhattan courthouse this week.
'I should be out campaigning now, instead of sitting in a very cold courthouse. This is a Biden prosecution. It's election interference at a level that nobody in this country has ever seen before.'
Trump has repeatedly said, without evidence, that the prosecutions against him are a sham.
As well as the New York hush money prosecution, he faces federal cases for conspiring to overturn his 2020 election defeat to Biden and for retaining classified documents after he left the White House.
In Georgia, Trump is accused of illegally trying to overturn his 2020 election loss in the state. He is also appealing against a $454 million penalty in a civil lawsuit over falsified business records.
Republican lawmakers have raised concerns about the raft of prosecutions.
Congresswoman Elise Stefanik has written to the Justice Department, calling for an investigation into Trump's federal prosecutor Jack Smith for breaking department standards and ethical duties.
'We need a formal investigation ASAP by the House,' says ex-Trump strategist Steve Bannon

In Georgia, Trump and several co-defendants have asked for Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis to be kicked off the case, over claims she had a romantic relationship with another prosecutor in the case.
But only recently have there been calls for a broader assessment of any shadiness behind the wave of prosecutions against Trump.
Former Trump adviser Steve Bannon has in recent weeks called for the Republican-led House to launch an investigation into the various cases.
'We need a formal investigation ASAP by the House,' he said on his WarRoom show.
'We need people subpoenaed, we need documents preserved, and we need witnesses called in, not behind closed doors.'
Our nationwide survey of 1,435 respondents shows broad support for Bannon's probe.
The congressional investigation is particularly popular among men, young adults, blacks and Hispanics, and those living in the US South.
There is also a partisan divide, with nearly three quarters of Republican voters saying the prosecutions should be probed.
Still, more than half of Democrats felt the same way.
The nationwide survey has a +/-2.7 percent error margin. It was carried out earlier this month by TIPP, which has been noted for the accuracy of its polls.
