Reese Witherspoon appeared to offer further proof she never ages as she reprised her role as Harvard graduate Elle Woods to announce a new Legally Blonde television series – more than two decades after the original hit movie premiered.
The 48-year-old actress wore a matching pink skirt and jacket which she teamed with baby pink heels as she walked onto the stage in search of her dog Bruiser at Amazon's Upfront event in New York City on Tuesday morning.
She then performed her character's famous 'bend and snap' - a signature move Elle performed for her lovesick manicurist Paulette Bonafonté, played by Jennifer Coolidge - before confirming a prequel is in the works.
'Guys, this is Bruiser!' Reese told Jen Salke, Head of Amazon and MGM Studios. 'Thank you, I'm so glad you found him!'

The news comes 23 after Reese first played the pink-obsessed Harvard Law student on the big screen
Reese revealed that the TV series will tell Elle's origin story 'before she became the most famous Gemini vegetarian to graduate from Harvard Law school'
'Can I get an autograph?' Alan Moss, vice president of global ad sales for Amazon Ads, then asked, before accidentally dropping his pen.
'Alan, I got it,' Reese replied. 'Because when you get nervous in front of a really big group of people that you're trying to impress, all you have to do is bend and snap.'
At this point, the audience was heard breaking out into wild applause and laughter.
Speaking about the upcoming project, Reese continued: 'I had this crazy idea that the world would want to know the origin story of Elle Woods.
'So here I am, to officially tell you the most amazing news ever, which is that we're going back to high school with Elle.
'Before she became the most famous Gemini vegetarian to graduate from Harvard Law school, she was just a regular 90s high school girl.
'And, thanks to Amazon and Hello Sunshine, all of you are going to get to know her in this new series on Amazon Prime Video. I'm so excited.'
Titled Elle, the series will follow Elle Woods through high school to give viewers an insight into the life experiences that shaped her and turned her into the iconic lead in the first Legally Blonde film.

Legally Blonde was released in 2001 and followed sorority girl Elle who attempted to win back her ex-boyfriend Warner Huntington III, played by Matthew Davis, by getting a degree at Harvard Law School, and in the process, overcoming stereotypes about blondes to triumph as a successful lawyer.
