The adoptive mother of a little boy has been charged with first degree murder after the child died under suspicious circumstances.
Patricia Saintizaire, 36, adopted her four-year-old son Bryan Boyer after he was brought to the United States from Haiti in April 2023.
Saintizaire is accused of the 'prolonged abuse' that led to the little boy's death - including beating the boy with different objects and throwing him into a swimming pool while his hands were tied behind his back.
She also has a 16-year-old son who she adopted from Haiti - who has now been taken into protective custody following Bryan's tragic death.
The 16-year-old found Bryan in his bedroom 'weak and lethargic' - but Saintizaire told the older brother that he was 'faking it,' it is claimed.

An autopsy for Bryan Boyer, 4 (pictured), revealed that his cause of death was homicide by assault and blunt force trauma
She allegedly forced the 16-year-old to bring Bryan food and during dinner, the little boy began shaking and vomited three times - forcing the older brother to perform CPR and begging Saintizaire to take him to hospital.
Saintizaire then took the boy to hospital in Haines City and he was airlifted to Orlando Health, where he died.
An autopsy revealed that Bryan had a torn liver - which is consistent with a hard strike to the abdomen, the sheriff's office reported.
The little boy also had bruises and injuries from past beatings, according to Fox 13.
His cause of death was determined to be homicide by assault, blunt force trauma. Saintizaire has been charged with first degree murder and aggravated child abuse.
The adopted mother has denied physically abusing Bryan, but her husband told detectives that she did spank the boy, but that he doesn't discipline the children.
The 16-year-old first claimed during initial interviews that he had not been abused or witnessed abuse.
Disturbing videos were found on Saintizaire's cellphone - including one that showed her throw him into a swimming pool with his hands tied behind his back when he was just three-years-old
However, he later revealed that both brothers were hit with a belt and other objects as a form of discipline.
The teenager was placed into custody of Florida Department of Children and Families - which is when he then said to detectives that Saintizaire told him, 'When they ask you something, say nothing so I don't get in trouble.'
He also alleged that she threatened to kill him with a gun.
Disturbing videos were found on Saintizaire's cellphone - including one that showed her repeatedly hitting Bryan with an electrical cord and another in which she throws him into a swimming pool with his hands tied behind his back when he was just three-years-old.
